This sneering condescension is most unpleasant. People have different views on just about everything, hence the concept of a debate forum. To dub people with differing views to yourself "stupid" reflects on you more than them. Wray was a huge disappointment. I, for one, am interested in reviewing all his emails/mobile phone records/written documents after his house is raided in a few years time along with all the rest of them. What do his private messages reveal about his motivation for this dreadful raid?

Well she has worked for one proper company in her life, unlike most politicians. Truss had a brief stint at Shell so she will understand that the world needs more than theoretical renewables for future electricity generation. I'm hoping she is more realistic than Sunak who did that ridiculous virtue signal when he introduced a windfall tax on North Sea energy producers, folly like that can lead to dramatic price spikes in the future than would make this years rises look irrelevant. Super bad move Rishi.

The American public views the unprecedented raid on an ex President's house rather differently than most posters here. When a MAJORITY of voters think there is a group of politicized thugs at the top of the FBI who are using the FBI … as Joe Biden‘s personal Gestapo, the country has a huge problem. This coming just when it seemed a government could not possibly get anymore incompetent and untrustworthy..... "Roger Stone, an adviser to former President Donald Trump, has said there is “a group of politicized thugs at the top of the FBI who are using the FBI … as Joe Biden‘s personal Gestapo.” A majority (53%) of voters now agree with Stone’s statement – up from 46% in December – including 34% who Strongly Agree. South African woman gets life sentence reduced in Thailand
SunnyinBangrak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Agree with this. It would seem she was no angel. But, it is possible she was accused and sentenced for an exaggerated version of events. Sadly, there are many young impressionable foreign pretties on the island that tend to make a beeline for powder boys. Bad judgement in men doesn't deserve a life sentence.- 206 replies

South African woman gets life sentence reduced in Thailand

Before rushing to judgement, there is lots more to this sorry tale. Believing the authorities here in regards to court cases/justice issues generally results in misunderstanding. Its an unwritten rule that ex Presidents are left alone and allowed a quiet and dignified life after serving. If other ex-Presidents are left completely alone after making monstrous decisions based on false evidence that literally led to the deaths of millions of people in the middle east, then other ex Presidents will be left alone over paperwork issues that caused zero deaths and zero harm. It is all a question of comparative seriousness of the alleged crime. In my mind killing millions of people is worse than possessing some documents in safe storage that may have been reclassified after Trump left office. You "one law and nobody above it" is a troll. You know full well the democrats and republicans are held to different standards. Allegations against Republicans without evidence get major air time and discussion. Allegations against Democrats with mountains of evidence are censored across social media.

Trump under investigation for potential violations of Espionage Act

I understand fully the relevant precedents in play here. Enough said. This is less than a nothing burger. -
You intentionally miss the key point. Trump is an ex President. They stormed his private residence. This is a new chapter in American politics. The chapter of hatred and revenge and attacking the man they fear more than anything. The ONE thing they needed is to make very sure they had serious criminal acts to be busting, otherwise they pretty much started a civil war by continuing to persecute(with no valid reason other than hate and fear) the leader of the Republican party. Yet many days are passing and it is starting to look very much like they had no real reason to do this house raid. "Former President Donald Trump and his allies are ramping up warnings that Trump might seek payback for the FBI’s search of his Mar-a-Lago club if he recaptures the presidency. On Wednesday, Trump posted a link to an article headlined “The Payback for Mar-a-Lago Will Be Brutal” on his Truth Social account." https://www.vice.com/en/article/g5vy7y/trump-revenge-fbi-search-mar-a-lago The left will only realize the mistake they made once Hillary, Obama, Biden, all democrat disinformation pushers and censors in the media get raided on general search warrants. All panty drawers of all spouses thoroughly searched. Ex Presidents and VIPs charged on nonsensical charges. You guys started this, and you guys are celebrating this. It is a disgrace.

Trump under investigation for potential violations of Espionage Act

Hopefully this ages better than the last time a large group of ex-admin officials put there name to guaranteeing a narrative. A narrative that was 100% false and the loss of trust and credibility that caused/is still causing. I believe Trump in this matter. He was the President. He took documents home to review so had a standing order to declassify them. Makes perfect sense. He is looking vindicated once again, they keep shooting and keep missing. Will they ever learn? -
She is pro military involvement in foreign sovereign nations. It's the legacy of her family dynasty. "Wyoming Rep. Chuck Gray (R-Casper) blamed Cheney directly for the scenario in Afghanistan, saying in a statement that she “and other radical socialists” undermined former president Donald Trump’s efforts to negotiate with the Taliban last year. “The Taliban would not have double-crossed President Trump, because they understood he would not allow it,” Gray wrote in a statement. “What happened in Afghanistan is another result of Cheney voting to impeach President Trump to strengthen Biden and Pelosi.” https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2021/07/21/pelosi-rejects-republicans-banks-jordan-jan-6-select-committee/8042839002/ As you are well aware the MAGA movement is strongly against wars in foreign nations. We would have negotiated instead of allowing the horrific Russia/Ukraine/USA war to start. We would not have fled in chaotic scenes from Afghanistan before that old chestnut blaming Trump for another of Biden's failures starts again.

Did you notice the result of the Wyoming Republican primary? She took an absolute shellacking even after spending a king's ransom on her campaign. Republicans do not like her. They do not like her policies. They do not like her conniving and scheming with the democrats during the one sided Jan 6th show. She is toast. Her family dynasty is toast. Thank you so much Donald Trump.

Alot of money buying huge sea-level beachfront mansions. Says it all to me. Nobody drops $25m on a seafront estate that their own predictions show will soon be underwater. If the weather is hot in the summer drink more iced water, stay out of the sun, limit exertion, same as we used to do all those years ago when it was just called a heat-wave.

Trump under investigation for potential violations of Espionage Act
SunnyinBangrak replied to Scott's topic in World News
Just the facts. Seems like every irrational hater of Trump can't give genuine reasons why they hate him, just like they can never list the crimes he's guilty of that justify the death penalty. They hate him because of a continuous false narrative. Still, he's a marvellous distraction for a party that has led the country into uneccessary wars and disasterous economic crisis. -

That is just what he does when he impersonates somebody/anybody. Fake news to say he was specifically mocking a retarded person. If memory serves I think he mocked some army guy in the same speech with the same motions. Trump does not mock disabled persons. Trump is continually mocked by the left for his hand size and bone spurs. Very unfortunate behaviour. -

Now we have unsupported false accusations that Trump faked a disability. Have you seen his medical records? I note his cautious gait, suggesting that he still has bonespurs or hallux rigidus. Not pleasant by any means. All this mocking of Trump for not having served, makes me wonder what mr 81m votes from the basement's military record was. They couldnt be so hypocritical.. -

Half of GOP Voters Ready to Leave Trump Behind, Poll Finds
SunnyinBangrak replied to Scott's topic in World News
Evidence on the ground shows that this OP is more wishful thinking than reality. News that Liz Cheney, the RINO's darling, just got utterly trounced in the Wyoming Republican primary to patriot and Trump supporter Harriet Hageman is more than welcome. " Trump called Cheney’s loss “a complete rebuke” of the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. Cheney is the panel’s vice chair. “Liz Cheney should be ashamed of herself, the way she acted, and her spiteful, sanctimonious words and actions towards others,” he wrote on his social media platform. “Now she can finally disappear into the depths of political oblivion where, I am sure, she will be much happier than she is right now. Thank you WYOMING!” https://www.oregonlive.com/nation/2022/08/liz-cheney-loses-wyoming-republican-primary-to-harriet-hageman.html -
Trump under investigation for potential violations of Espionage Act
SunnyinBangrak replied to Scott's topic in World News
False. Trump was the President out of love for his country and his sense of patriotic duty. Thus he refused to keep his salary and donated it all to worthy causes. Hardly the action of a grifter, is it? So now you know, your "there is NOTHING---from his name to his 'charity' that he did not try to monetize." is a false statement. -
This is not yet another Trump rant thread so no comment about your first unsubstantiated assertion. But IMO this looks more like a boondoggle than a "real investment". Spending any $ trying to change the weather is not something I approve of, and as for spending bigly to reduce inflation, well it's a nonsense. Even the Guardian agrees. "It took more than a year of negotiations to reach an agreement on the Inflation Reduction Act, which garnered no Republican votes in either chamber. Its name is a nod to the ongoing wave of high inflation in the United States, though the legislation itself may not make much difference. According to the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Wharton Budget Model, it will lower the US’ budget deficit by hundreds of billions of dollars, but “the impact on inflation is statistically indistinguishable from zero.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2022/aug/16/biden-climate-healthcare-bill-inflation-reduction-act-democrats-us-politics-latest In short calling this an inflation bill is misleading in the extreme. We could fairly call it misinformation, and the democrat voters that expect this spending spree to reduce inflation will be very disappointed.

Quote "I don't think they think Trump is innocent. They just don't care." Innocent of what? He has not been charged with anything so of course he's innocent. With every second that passes the likelyhood he will be charged with anything at all lessens further. That they returned his passports lessens the already tiny chance they will charge him. Looks more and more like a desperate political gambit. Hobble the man they know they can't beat in a fair election. But it isn't working out like they hoped, is it?!
