    90 days are handled by the girls in HR. Work permit and extension are every 2 yrs.... and honestly is a pleasant 1 hour out of the office.... That I milk and take the afternoon off to go have a few beers as the visit to one stop always seems to fall on a Friday !

    Last year I had a 3 months off sick (hospitalized) all covered by accrued sick leave. Once a month I see my doctor, that day off is covered by business leave. Employees here that are clearly taking the piss cant be simply dismissed as the Thai labour court will be all over it..so those are performance managed, eventually they resign.

    I go to the docs once a month, she insists on giving a doc note for the day off but its not needed as I take the day off as business leave. The Thai staff that like to use up their 30days annual sick leave, they all must bring a doctors note... I suspect these are fake though.
