I sent an email to them a week ago, asking for a vaccination for my Thai wife. Never got a reply. Yet others report here they got prompt replies. So they seem to have a strange sort of system of who they accept. Cambodian servants, some Thai wife/partners...but they're definitely not offering vaccines to all.

The vid is still on FB, I just watched it.....well, it's murder in police custody, just like the deaths of Australian aboriginals in police custody. As far as I'm concerned every one of those police in the vid should be charged with murder....but they won't. Maybe a rap across the knuckles, one or two may be transferred. The dumb part of course is why film these sorts of things and post them on the internet?

Yesterday I spoke with the Thai doctor in charge of vaccinations at Central Khon Kaen. I asked the doctor which vaccine and she replied following the directive from the Thai public health they are giving 1st jab sinovac and 2nd jab AZ. So if they are giving Pfizer at Central Korat today you guys are in luck.

Australia's PM was on TV today saying we can't beat covid (Delta) we can't eradicate it, so we just have to get on with life and live the best we can with it. The best defense we have is vaccination plus booster shots for new variants if/when they come along. So anyone who has been fully vaccinated and has a negative PCR test within the past 72 hours should be allowed to travel and enter countries with quarantine. The only chance Thailand has of regaining some of it's lost tourism industry is to accept this line of thought.

Get a visa agent to do it. Mine also expires in 2022, I already spoke with Darren at Key Visa, and for a reasonable charge he'll take care of everything, and give me a brand new UK PP with all the Thai imm/visa transfer taken care of, so I don't have to stuff around doing anything. Of course I could save a few thousand baht and do it all myself, and have a bunch of headaches. Up to you. Personally I prefer to pay a bit extra and have a professional, who knows the entire process inside out, take care of it.

Reminds me of this book I read, written by an Englishman who traveled around Thailand with his English wife in the 1950s. He had a connection with a very high up Thai he had met at uni in England, so everywhere he went he was met by gov officials who took him under their wings and showed him around. He got to see lots of temples and drank lots of Green Spot. He informed us in his book that Thailand is a devout Buddhist country so alcohol isn't available and prostitution is nonexistent, as that goes against the tenets of the Buddhist faith. So I guess the "quality tourist" concept was in play even way back then.

I was vaxed 2 weeks ago at MedPark but my Thai tirak can't find a vax, so I just sent an email to BCC, if they reply and give her a date I'll drive her to BKK to get a jab.....thanks to OP for the link.

Nothing's going to happen in the next few months, not this year, but if the pandemic continues globally (and it certainly looks that way) and as more of the population gets vaccinated, then Thailand, and most other countries, will certainly make vaccination mandatory in order to get visas, and in my opinion, to renew visas for those foreigners already in the country. They may make exceptions to renew visas for any expats who cannot get vaccinated for medical reasons, but they are extremely unlikely to make exceptions for any unvaccinated Joe Blow tourist. As for airlines not mandating vaccination for passengers, well Australia's Qantas has already stated several times that they are going to mandate it. And so will many other airlines. The most likely situation within another 1-2 years is unvaccinated people won't be able to do much at all other than stay home and watch TV. Proof of vaccination is going to be the only way to travel and attend concerts and get out into the world again.
