I want to pay for Thailand Spotify Premium in the easiest way possible. I have a Krungsri ATM card but it doesn't have my name on it. It just says Privileged Member. I've never been able to use it for online payments. I have accounts with multiple banks. But I'm also under the impression that I can pay with my AIS balance. Can I just top up my phone and Spotify can be paid? Or do I need to register with AIS for some payment system. For those of you that use Thailand Spotify Premium, what's an easy way for me to pay for it?

Would someone please explain how you get the extra year?

Probably way to many people around but there are free outdoor machines by the police box on Dongtan beach.

Bank Savings Interest Rates 2023
shortstop2 replied to kiko11's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I'm also a Fidelity customer. Currently, Treasury yields are higher than brokered CDs which is not always the case. You can buy them at either original auction or in the secondary market at Fidelity with no commission. If a Treasury and a brokered CD is yielding the same rate for the same duration, I suggest Treasuries because if you need to sell for some unforseen reason the Bid-Ask spread is much more reasonable with Treasuries. One often takes a real haircut if selling a brokered CD. -
Yup. But if I recall correctly in the past it was 1 per 50 baht plus additional for certain items.

I find Pattaya area baht busses more fun than Angeles City jeepneys. An interesting environment to throw strangers together who have been drinking all night. There is an Angeles City 7/11 with seating for 150 and music thumping that is one of the best 7/11s in the world. Not too many foreigners though. Also on that list is the Pratumnak Beach 7/11. The Pratumnak 7/11 is more scenic but the hong nam is for employees only. Many Russians.

UK pensioners flock to luxury retirement resorts in Thailand

I know someone who worked in home care near Bangkok taking care of an old Thai guy. She's not a nurse though. She was earning 16K baht a month and free room and board living with the family. Not sure what the agency was charging the client. -
Same as me. My alternatives: 1) My Social Security direct deposited to Bangkok Bank this coming month should be about 68K but there could easily be a month where it's only 64K. I guess I could supplement with an additional Wise transfer. 2) Agent, but don't want a bankbook showing less than 800K for 3 months prior/after. 3) SCB at 1.5% but don't like the idea of not having a bankbook to show Immigration I could currently earn 5.5% in the USA which nets out to a 4.6% difference which has meaningful opportunity cost of 36,800 baht which ain't chump change. But for simplicity and peace of mind, I'm continuing to use the 800K method. I also want some of my money in Thailand as I've been having problems setting up transfers. I realize that this may not make economic sense.

Procedure For Obtaining A Death Certificate
shortstop2 replied to shortstop2's topic in General Topics
Last year, I created a new Thai will as I have a new bank account which wasn't listed in the old will. The first lawyer had no interest in going to the amphur to have the will registered. My girlfriend and I went and couldn't figure out how to do it. It's a busy amphur; perhaps easier at others. My new lawyer also said it wasn't necessary. I got the impression from him that perhaps there was a downside to registering in case I subsequently create a new will that doesn't get registered. at any rate, right now it is not registered. I suppose that with the Thai will she can get death certificates that my USA brokerage account will accept where she is named as a beneficiary. Thanks for all the responses so far! ???? -
To stimulate international tourism the best option is to have extended stay arrival stamps for perhaps 90 or 180 days for tourists from desired countries. Make things easy for tourists. That's out of Pattaya's control though. Within Pattaya's control having lots of garbage bins along Pattaya and Jomtien Beach Roads combined with frequent garbage collection would be money well spent. Rat eradication should also be a priority.

Procedure For Obtaining A Death Certificate
shortstop2 replied to shortstop2's topic in General Topics
I'll try to make the question less vague. When I, a foreigner, die exactly how does my girlfriend get my death certificate so that she can prove my death and collect an inheritance? Does she go to the local police? My embassy? I would assume that the local police or my embassy won't give a death certificate to just anybody so what is normally required in order for her to get the death certificate. I get that some will get their jollies by having fun with my questions. That's OK. But I hope that I also get a couple of thoughtful responses that can point me in the right direction. -
Never received any written acknowledgement. But the lady who usually handles this sitting outside the extension desk is one of the nicest people at Immigration. Probably don't need to go but it's easy for me to get to Jomtien Immigration so I don't mind. I'm on Soi 5 quite a bit using my Cheap Charlie card anyway.

What is the procedure for obtaining a death certificate? I'm specifically interested in what documentation a Thai in a long term but not married relationship must provide.

The 30 baht medical plan being one good example. LBJ's Medicare also benefited the masses. Future Forward seems more focused on long term structural change much like LBJ's Voting Rights Act. -
I heard True 4 U is showing some of the games. Does anyone have schedules for 3BB or Truevisions? Googling around it is not easy to find this info. I'm especially interested in the USA-Holland match at 8AM Thursday morning,

Quick Analysis: With Pita Gone, What Happens Next?
shortstop2 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The Senate could just block the original coalition with a PT PM again. Perhaps Bhumjaithai and Move Forward should both be in the coalition even if that is a bit awkward as then no Senate votes are needed. Give Anutin some important ministries. Then implement some structural reforms, add pro-democracy Senators. -
I have had good experience with Chokchai not spoiling. it is also ever so slightly cheaper than Meji or Dutch Mill. 7/11 doesn't have but little Tescos and Big C Mini usually have it. Spoiling is an issue for me as I only use in my coffee. If reconstitution stops spoiling it's OK with me.
