  1. Prius owners seem to be a happy bunch (leaving room for the inevitable TV member to tell us how they had one and terrible blah blah blah)….been around a long time and well….”you just can’t beat a Toyota”???? A couple of brands (Volvo is one I think) have committed to go all electric within a year or so! I think there will be a major surge in electric for a couple of years very soon and then the price of used fossil fueled vehicles (trade ins) will start to fall driving the industry where they and the Govt. want them to go?!
  2. Sorry…sorry! I guess it would be possible????
  3. Wow…I’ve seen 4000 bt rooms and you can’t stay in them long if you’re not sleeping and with no AC??? 3- 50 bt meals a day Ive seen you guys wandering the street like the walking dead…nothing to look forward to when you get up in the morning and going to bed at night knowing you didn’t accomplish anything?! Only women you can buy short term but most of all praying you don’t have an emergency like a sickness or an accident!m Sorry but that is not retirement my friend…it’s not much of anything really????
  4. Thank You….that tells me enough…maybe I’ll go straight to online and risk it…they look like what I want! I just feel better if I can put hands on ✋
  5. My wife and I don’t have any debt and spend about 40,000 bt a month! We live on four rai close to Samoeng with 2 dogs and three cats which are an expense with monthly medicine and food (about 3000 bt) but they all have a job to do and work well for us! We don’t have rent or vehicle payments….just electric, water and two phones and Netflix! Shes an excellent cook so “groceries” are an expense for us but she’s not big on restaurants and we do grow a lot of fruits and some veggies! We are both gardeners so have to admit we love to buy new flowers and trees… The biggest difference between us and our friends is we don’t drink or smoke or etc….. We have a great place to live….2 newer vehicles with gas and insurance etc. and a normal life for us and we do it nicely on 40,000 bt a month….we don’t lack anything at all! That’s just us….people’s habits and wants and needs are different…toss in a night a week on the town and a car payment and our monthly expense would work at all!
  6. That is a huge job alright…we’re four rai here but have it mostly in big trees, fruit trees and flowers with one rai in bananas that I’m killing off slowly! Left to its own for couple of years as we did lit will grow a foot high or so. Rather than have it grow up and go to seed we have a guy come in and do the whole thing once every 3-4 weeks…pretty cheap and he’s dependable enough. I’m 71 in good shape but this is more than I want to look ! Slowly slowly we lay down sod here and there and it spreads out and chokes off the weeds….50 pieces of sod for 500 baht laid down in rainy season will spread surprisingly fast… I just use the line head for cleaning up flower beds and trees etc. as I said so different work than you have there! When the dry season comes it’s easy to look after but in rainy season ie: now things grow fast! I’m surprised your machine will soon that much plastic cord fast enough to cut that big stuff!!
  7. Wow 60 cm….that seems really long I’m using 25cm (9-10 inches)…that leaves maybe 7.5-8 inches after clamping them in and seems perfect to me!!? I get 2 hours or so out of a set of 3.0 lines and that’s mostly working around base of trees, rocks and sidewalks etc and it will cut long grass like a demon !! I bought the head with the line just for working in close to trees shrubs and flower beds and foundations…My wife has a couple dozen little birds eye pepper shrubs that she doesn’t want destroyed so the blade won’t cut it “so to speak”????
  8. I think you can use whatever configuration you like as long as it’s balanced so you don’t get a vibration! I’m sending you photos of mine works for me but don’t over think it! Do one way and when you change the plastic lines go the other way…I’m using 3 mm line and it lasts for ever but I dont let the head rest on the ground like some do…this head has 7 hours or so on it and this is the second set of plastic lines! Theyre good for another hour or two yet for me!
  9. I’m going to look for a better quality harness for my brush cutter….the one that came with it not the greatest! I’m looking for one with a waist belt like a good backpack ???? would have and more adjustment that would allow me to adjust so cutting head is just a little lower and runs more flat for an even cut on my lawn! Anyone have any experience(s) and know where to look in ChiangMai area! Something like the picture below…but not something I want to buy online
  10. I put two 10” lines thru the same hole bending one short end left and one right to grip. Same on the other side of the disc 180 degrees across …2 lines thru same hole! If you happen to install the disc upside down it won’t turn plus you don’t need to tighten it down too much …just snug. These things really work well!!
  11. Every once in awhile it pays to switch insurance companies…amazing how much cheaper a new company will be to snipe a customer from a competitor. In Canada I switched vehicle insurance about every three years….we’d all like to think we would get rested better if we stayed with same company forever but doesn’t seem to work that way.
  12. BEV/HEV/PHEV/FCEV There’s no stopping them now!
  13. Might as well get a head start on electric!! There’s no stopping it now!
  14. Yes…you replace the blade with the nylon line cutter attachment…I think all machines will interchange blade with line attachment except those that have a curved pole…I don’t think you can use a blade with them!
  15. There’s things you can adapt and play around with but an old piece of kids bicycle chain turning at 5000 rpm isn’t one of them. it’s not if it’s “when”?
  16. Looks like easier to get an even cut with this?! I still need the brush cutter style to go where I want to but these loo good for lawns
  17. Yes…it’s the same one called a Black Cutter but sold by many many different companies I’m very happy with mine too
  18. Jocularity jocularity ???? You wrote the subject matter…we thought you were joking!
  19. I went the simplest way possible! They gave me a new “bump”style spool with my brush cutter and on the advise of the business Owner I traded it for a manual style….simplest design ever! You push 10” (approx) piece of line of “any gauge” thru one of the four holes and it’s gripped and held! The line pushes in the hole one way only…won’t pull back out but if it breaks you cans push it all the way thru with two fingers and it will drop right out! Push a new piece in! The seem to be sold under a lot of different names but “black cutter” is the name on mine bu Robin! 2 other company photos included but same
  20. No interest in hookers either but that’s just me….fill your boots????
  21. What do you think the result would be in Houston, Texas or New York City or Moscow Russia or Istanbul, Turkey? Theres probably no interest in conversing with someone who’s behaving differently than those around him!
