  1. Mrs is a qualified Thai language teacher but has been offered a Job teaching English to groups of factory workers. She is thinking of giving it a try as work as been down the last year due to covid. It's basic conversation in a business environment and her English is good and her knowledge of grammar is better than mine! Any suggestions of what texts or aids to use? There must be something of use on the internet somewhere.

An interview with Peter Hitches on LBC was pointing out just that referring to past history and how different things could have been in the world today if the attitude and treatment of Russia by the west had been friendly.

Even more different if Patton had been listened to and the Allies had rolled the red army back to Russia where it belonged, instead of letting them enslave eastern Europe for 45 years!

  3. Broccoli revolution is also at top floor in the Embassy Mall where the British embassy used to be, sadly the veggie kitchen on the corner of Asoke moved to 101, bit far out. The Issan restaurant just after exchange tower has some nice veg options.

    Living in bangkok?

Could you please tell how to find out what's on?

    what were the six?

Many thanks. Wholeheartedly agree with your post.

The Mrs tells me these days, local Wats will always have posters around with the dates, Otop have concerts, facebook have a number of info pages and ads on fm95 and fm 90. The 6 were at local Wats, lamyai, Monkhean, Monsit, talent contest, likay etc. Other fans tell you as well as the singers.

Go to any mobile phone shop and ask them to cut down to nano. 20 Baht.

Of course the DIY approach is also possible.

Nano is just a bit bigger than the size of the chip / golden contacts

Did not know that was possible thanks

    1) Move to the Phillipines?

    2) Set up a dummy address in the Phillipines?

    3) If you have family or friends you could stay with, return to the UK for a 6 months holiday , say every 5 years to get your pension updated to the current rate?

    4) And following 3) possibly keep a permanent UK address with said friend or family and get index linked pension paid into a UK bank account and transferred via Wise to Thailand? Would understaffed HMRC be any the wiser?

What about when pensioners go home to renew their passport, don't they take an interest in all the tell tale stamps showing where you are living and pass that on?
