Ultimately most of those slaves, at least in the modern era, were sold to whites. You're just engaging in look over there, a black man owned slaves as well so whites are off the hook. Well, insisting that people don't use prejudicial terms and get educated about racial injustice is "woke" This is what DeSantis doesn't want to happen in Florida and what the right wing are constantly harping on about. Woke is nothing other than awareness and understanding of diversity and minority issues like teaching the REAL history of blacks and of LGBTQ issues. Woke is an adjective derived from African-American Vernacular English meaning "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination".

That's right, because it is the prerogative of the victims of racism to collectively determine what's racism. A very many blacks have determined that the phrase in question is racist.

Rittenhouse brandished a gun at a crowd. That's using a gun. Those who intervened to stop him clearly considered he was possibly about to conduct a mass shooting. A bank robber does not need to fire a gun to use it in the course of a bank robbery.

You know, 1st amendment and all that. The newspapers who "cancelled" him took a commercial decision as is their right under that amendment.

And it lets them roam the streets in a conflict situation armed to the teeth with a gun designed only to kill people.

The reason they did that was to prevent an active shooter situation. They likely succeeded, in part. A person carrying an AR type rifle to a crowd who was not a policeman would reasonably engender that conclusion.
