Calling anyone “nhoo” is not endearing, especially at work
ozimoron replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
หนูnuu, fairly impolite 2nd person pronoun used to call over a waitress in a restaurant and a girl or woman working in a nightclub, café or escort business you. You might consider using nong instead. -

Tell that to google translate. It translates "noo is going home" as this mouse is going home. I had an example of that at 3am this morning. They are the same word and have the same spelling by the way. The word is often used as a nickname as well. http://www.thai-language.com/id/131115 -

Not that anyone on the left of politics objects to being labelled "woke" or "communist" every time they open their mouth because the right wing have no coherent policy platform. -
AOC under investigation for Met Gala dress reading "Tax The Rich"
ozimoron replied to Scott's topic in World News
I would love to see AOC run for president but she is too young as yet. The republicans are afraid of that prospect. Really afraid. That's why they hate her so much. The race thing is just a bonus for them. Meanwhile, the dems have many potential candidates, the current dem house leader in particular. -

They're gambling that Putin will be dead and the war over before some time or other comes along. Russia will want those people back to help their economy and reduce their average age. -

Lacking omega-3. Also, farmed fish carries high levels of toxins. Sardines, salmon and mackerel are my favourites. Yes, mackerel does contain mercury which is why I listed it last.

I think that's not true. Many retired farangs hang around the bar for entertainment, whether they are looking for sex or not. That's also where company hangs out. Where else are retired farangs going to go? Sit at home and listen to the wife all day and night if they are married or just watch TV if they are not? Certainly there's an element of lonely, poor farangs who just wander up and down beach road. Not true, it also includes soi 6 ????

China considers sending Russia artillery shells, US officials say

What part of that post indicates that Apple could manufacture their computers outside of China anytime soon. The mainboards are manufactured in China as well as other parts. Tesla is on the same boat. -
The FBI Desperately Wants to Let Trump Off the Hook

He said "from" the J6 Committee, not "by" the J6 Committee. It is common knowledge that the J6 committee made referrals to the DoJ. The AG appointed a special counsel to investigate. It will be the Attorney General who indicts Trump. -
You mean just like his father and mother? Oh, wait, his whole family! Except Andrew of course, he's a decent bloke.

The FBI Desperately Wants to Let Trump Off the Hook

wait, there's more lies Inside Jim Jordan’s Disastrous Search for a ‘Deep State’ Whistleblower Trump officials and GOP lawmakers are working together to deliver on Jordan's promise to reveal an anti-Trump conspiracy. So far, they've produced a 'dumpster fire' In early February, Republicans brought an FBI veteran to Capitol Hill whom they hoped would expose a “deep state conspiracy” among Democrats and their accomplices in the intelligence community. The GOP witness was part of a network of “whistleblowers” — funneled to congressional Republicans’ new Weaponization of Government panel by allies of Donald Trump — to reveal covert attacks on the former president and broad, anti-conservative discrimination. In the interview, the witness, former FBI supervisory intelligence analyst George Hill, had admitted he had little or no firsthand knowledge of alleged “deep state” scandals. Instead, he brought baggage of his own: a history of inflammatory commentary on social media. According to portions of transcripts reviewed by Rolling Stone and sources familiar with the exchange, Hill repeatedly declined to respond to the questions and cited his First Amendment rights. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/jim-jordan-weaponization-committee-trump-deep-state-1234690041/ -
The FBI Desperately Wants to Let Trump Off the Hook
ozimoron replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
The lying party. Jim Jordan's FBI 'whistleblowers' were paid by Trump ally and spread J6 conspiracy theories A trio of witnesses being called as "whistleblowers" by the GOP committee investigating the "weaponization" of government were paid off by a Trump ally and spread conspiracy theories, reported The New York Times on Thursday. "The roster of witnesses, whose interviews and statements are detailed in a 316-page report compiled by Democrats that was obtained by The New York Times, suggests that Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio, the chairman of the panel, has so far relied on people who do not meet the definition of a whistle-blower and who have engaged in partisan conduct that calls into question their credibility," said the report. "And it raises questions about whether Republicans, who have said that investigating the Biden administration is a top goal, will be able to deliver on their ambitious plans to uncover misdeeds at the highest levels." https://www.rawstory.com/fbi-whistleblowers/ -

US industry would grind to a halt. They use Chinese parts in many products. I just bought an Apple computer, it is being shipped from China. Apple would take a long time to tool up a factory to build these things in the US. -
