  1. Great report. Perhaps the vaccine saved your life. A very co$tly hospital stay at least. I'm glad you're feeling better. Keep us updated and thanks for the report.
  2. Less pain for me also in the shoulder. Headache in the evening. I just passed out around 9:00 am. Felt great the next day. Big relief despite news today that its potency wavers after 6 months.
  3. If you Google it you may find that getting rid of them is really difficult. Just moving your laundry may infect other rooms. Nightmare bug!

    Thai Food - ?

I can't stand most Issan food. Lucky we've got two kitchens. My wife is happy to whip up something tamer for me. Stir fried vegetables with pork or shrimp. I like Somtom though.

  6. Just call your closest "Bangkok" Hospital. Udon Thani Bangkok Hospital, Khon Kaen Bangkok Hospital, etc. I called and they took my name and passport number and I was vacvinated the next week. Today I mentioned that to a conserned friend. He called khon Karen Bangkok Hospital and got his first Pfeizer shot 2 hours later. I registered ages ago for on the expat site. I never heard anything again. Calling may be your best option. Good luck!
  7. Masks everywhere. Especially in gyms where your probably exhaling harder. Very uncomfortable I imagine. Soaking wet sweaty facemask. Ugh.
  8. I guess. I should have waited to fill my gas guzzling SUV.
  9. The West has certainly helped pull Thailand through the pandemic. I haven't heard much about Astra Zeneca production in Thailand lately. Its unfortunate that there not more transparent. Transparency is really difficult for Thailand for some reason.
  10. Your better off throwing out your bed. If you're in a rental situation move out. The entire place is likely infected. I wouldn't be able to sleep in there. Creepy!
  11. I agree. I think the concern is how did they accumulate this wealth. Whatever the case nothing will come of it even if its illegal.
  12. It must be the six families that own Thailand. How surprising, NOT. Its also the ones who own huge amounts of stock in Sinovac. Of course it will all be just a "misunderstanding". One has to wonder how long the people can put with this utter disregard and completely corrupted government and those 6 families. There all intertwined. Disgusting!
  13. "Shameful" couple having sex against sacred rubber tree caused storm devastation, say Chiang Mai locals" No it didn't. It was a low pressure system over China.
  14. When you sober up a bit its hard to reenact what a horrible thing you did. It's hard to come to grips of the coming nightmare of spending the rest of your life in a Thai prison.
  15. Unless you're one of the popular ASQ hotels your out of luck. You end up eating there most likely. After there breakfast buffet its hard to eat anything until dinner. Huge buffets. Excellent though.
  16. I think the people in charge have screwed up by letting the reservoirs get to full to early. There hasn't been that much rain to produce the flooding I've seen on the TV. There was a lot more rain 3 years ago.
  17. Nice resort despite the encroachment on public property. I think there the only ones despite the Pullman property opened in that area.
  18. Exhausted after reading "Thai Justice". "Thai justice" is a myth. Now the nightmare begins for the swede trying to protect his life and property. Miserable people in the clueless justice department.
  19. Many of us know that already. Getting vaccinated though is the best way at the moment to help reduce the spread and lower hospital admissions.
  20. It'll be fun. Go first class with a friend. Enjoy your trip. I'd love to go on a train trip. Difficult now with a family and little kids. Take some pics!
  21. Call: Train Travel The State Railway of Thailand is continuing with selected Northern, Northeastern, Southern, and Eastern routes. Information is available on the hotline 1690 . Its changing all the time. You will have to wear a mask either way and trains are slow so hopefully its not a long trip.
