    You don't have to a specialist to know 90% of stainless steel in Thailand isn't actually stainless nor treated. Perhaps you've had better luck buying Thai or Chinese made "Stainless Steel" tools or products.

    Yes, other pictures of the breach show little or no maintenance since the dam was built. It wouldn't be unusual for the local officials in charge of maintaing it pocketed the money allocated for it's upkeep.

    I think it was lost in translation. "Gomsmacked" might have been better. It's unfortunate that some imported items are taxed so highly in Thailand.

    Walking street rents are some of the highest in the the world. You would be better off testing the waters of bar ownership in Thailand off of Soi Bhukow, although those also can be eye openingly expensive. Pattaya has some of the highest property prices in the world. If you could afford it, buy some and rent it out to eager bar owners. Less risk and headaches.

    I think the kids brains get saturated and then cant absorb anymore. Luckily our kids school has Aircon. I can't imagine learning in 38-44 C weather.
