  1. Does Thailand have traffic police patrols like the UK does? That's why they can't see them, the police are provided no budget for UK-like patrols.
  2. Groundhog Day on every single article about Road accidents from Asean Now posters!
  3. Where has that been reliably reported or did you just pull that "statistic" from your nether regions?
  4. Huh? 11 million visitors to Thailand in 2022, well over 20 million so far this year...that looks like a substantial increase year-on-year, not a reduction.
  5. The RTP are doing the job that they are paid to do, the government does not provide the police stations with enough budget, patrol vehicles, fuel, etc., to go out and patrol, which is presumably what you want to see.
  6. The local police administer a written agreement with both as to responsibility. So, what makes you think that you could demand his arrest? And this has bugger-all to do with how things work in the US...god knows why you brought that up!
  7. What makes you think that you could demand his arrest?!
  8. Absolute b0llocks...as evidenced by the OP you're responding to. People such as you really need to stop promulgating your urban myth garbage.
  9. Yes, he would, Thai prisons do not segregate prisoners such as him on that basis.
  10. Why should there be any more than have already been published? He wouldn't be having photos taken detailing his stay in prison, either, if he was there.
  11. So Britain has as many sh!t drivers as Thailand?? Did I read your post properly. Yes, probably, I wouldn't be surprised. Doubtless you've got some statistics to refute that, though, but bear in mind the subject is "shlt drivers", not numbers of road deaths. Just because someone is British doesn't make them an ace driver or automatically better than many Thai drivers.
  12. Mate, I didn't intend to suggest anything, except maybe you READ what is posted, and YOU understand what is said... But you did make some suggestions; perhaps you should read and understand what you post in your own comments.
  13. You're really being too hard on yourself with that comment, you're not that bad.
  14. Mate, get OFF your high horse, it is about action taken, not picking up the victim... geez And what action are you suggesting that his embassy didn't take in this case? Don't tell me what to post, or how to post my opinions on this public forum...seems that you're the one on a 'kin high horse!
  15. "Sounds" like you didn't read the full report. They didn't pay €500. The rest of it you can read for yourself.
  16. No, it doesn't, the first 72 hours of treatment is reimbursed by the government to the hospital, so no risk. If they're penniless, the patient can be moved elsewhere for more economic treatment subsequently.
  17. Wrong, ... As for Thailand as we know, they religion does not recognize euthanizer, but does it mean that it is illegal? Er, it's not wrong, I just quoted the law that makes it illegal!
