  1. William...William who? AIS's involvement? Cheated by whom? Couldn't be less specific, could you? Nominee company case?
  2. Mentioned one earlier. Then there is the land and resort on Phuket wherein the British barrister met with an unfortunate accident. Good enough for you or do you need more? No, not good enough, the British barrister case was not a nominee company case as an example of a "pretty common phenomenon". What was the one you "mentioned earlier", why can't you mention it in your reply to me?
  3. Prosecution of lawyers (if that's what you mean by "proxies") setting up such companies has been reported when similar raids have been made in the past
  4. Perhaps the reason is that so many of them are complete pains in the arse to other motorists who are allowed to use the road? What's so special about "bigger motorbikes"?
  5. Fear-mongering nonsense. There is no suggestion, whatsoever, that agent-assisted, legitimate bank accounts are being targeted. Where has freezing these legitimate accounts been mentioned? There is no law prohibiting banks from opening introduced accounts but 'mule' accounts are a different matter and that is what the OP is about.
  6. That's what you think, it is no longer that easy. Unless, of course, you can specify the bank/branch that will open a new account for someone with an appropriate visa presenting just their passport.
  7. The OP is about opening new bank accounts, not visa agents assisting with extensions.
  8. Any transaction on a bank account keeps it active as long as the balance doesn't drop to zero. Regarding the rules for your specific bank's current account, you need to ask them through their call centre or FAQs on its website.
  9. Common examples of this "pretty common phenomenon" in which successful businesses are stolen from foreigners? Just a couple that you have knowledge of would be great.
  10. B0llocks. Who is the "they" that you are accusing of "usually conning" foreigners?
  11. Call them again to speak to a different call centre rep, quoting the email, and ask them for specific requirements and tell them specifically what documents you have and what you do not have.
  12. Funds in dormant accounts are remitted to the Bank of Thailand under an arrangement with all Thai banks. On production of suitable proof of identity/account ownership any held funds will be returned to the account holder by the BoT.
  13. What makes you think that he'll be deported and have to go anywhere?
  14. Jesus Christ...take a breath. "...why don’t they go after the guy who set the whole thing up..." It has been reported in other cases that the lawyers involved in the incorporation of raided nominee companies are being investigated also.
  15. Falling out with the nominee shareholder who probably was not a real partner?
  16. "A night out in Pattaya took a wild turn when the writer’s motorbike taxi ride home became a near-death experience". Huh? The writer did not experience anything, the OP is a made up fantasy story about what the author thinks "Bob Smith" experienced; it is all in the OP's mind, none of it happened.... "Another satirical tribute in fond memory of the original, hapless, Bob Smith".
  17. He didn't. It's a fairy tale about what "Bob Smith" didn't do, either, just the OP's bizarre imagination.
  18. What are you asking him that for? It's a made up story about what he imagines could happen to "Bob Smith"!
  19. Seriously, how many people make plans to deal with our own years-away, potential dementia when we're compos mentis?!
  20. There could be a lot more to dealing with a dementia patient than wheeling him around the airport in a chair.
  21. And who looks after the dementia patient once he's on the plane? Not the cabin crew, that's for sure. And who is going to be responsible for him and/or assist him in the event of an emergency evacuation in which he may have no idea about what is going on or what to do? Those are the reasons for his probably being denied boarding if the airline staff are nade aware of his condition, as they should be.
  22. Nothing but Gillette products on that link.
  23. Probably to force an introduction to social services.
