    Why? If what you assert is true, who but the EU has authority to seize Russian planes? Thailand sure doesn't and, as it is a substantial trading partner of Russia, would never do so (even if it could).

    So what? Thailand is not subject to US sanctions' restrictions on other countries. Thailand does a lot of business with Russia and it has buggger-all to do with the sodding US or its sanctions.

    Why? Thailand has pretty good air safety record compared to many western countries and it's likely that they use the same (Boeing) parts when necessary.
