Something called "human rights" could be at issue

They are not allowed to force people to get the vaccine.

But everyone will know if you don't get it and there will be animosity between people who get it and people who don't ... within families, in the workplace...

It's not going to be comfortable going around telling people you refused it. I'm already being harangued by family members to go get it.

I don't get the obsession with eating at expensive restaurants- learn to cook and save money. Probably more healthy as well.

sometimes restaurants are a status thing. people want to be seen in trendy restaurants to show they're hanging out with the cool kids.

i love bbq street stalls. grab some chicken wings on a stick to go. unpretentious!

when the Gov't, accompanied by Big Pharma, comes knocking on my door and says "We are Here to Help You" ...

Just watched an interview with Fauci. 25 per cent of Americans will not take the vaccine.

Big Pharma, vaccines aside, does help extend people's lives, albeit it's not the ideal way to maintain health. But they do provide a service that people need.

Here's my final comment. This situation is not entirely transparent. Some things don't make sense. Some things seem suspicious. Sometimes the numbers don't add up. Maybe the masking doesn't make sense. The lockdowns. But that doesn't necessarily imply that something nefarious is at play.

     Take care.

Sorry. What was the experience of the 89 year old with Covid?  Was it better or worse than the minor reactions people who get vaccinated experience?

No symptoms. No treatment. Maybe the ol' geezer was tough as nails?

There are already some murmurings (not thailand) of reopening restaurants only for vaccinated people.

People should probably stop having discussions about the safety of the vaccine because in a few months the topic will shift to the inconveniences caused by not having one.

People who are afraid of the vaccine ... are you more afraid of never being able to travel again?

My mental health was degrading due to lockdown, but it's been made worse by joining the forum and talking about covid 24/7.

I need someone to rub my temples.

    Good luck to all.

But not hordes like before. I wish there are different kinds of tourists coming. As Thailand will be a very different place when this is over. And I think the change will be for the better. And not only in Thailand.

Some countries are changing the goal posts already.

No more cannabis tourism in Amsterdam Post Coronavirus.

    I am not an anti-vaxxer.

You can be a wait-and-see vaxxer. Don't take it for now if you don't feel comfortable. Your chances of dying from covid are the same as being struck by lightning if you take Vitamin D (joking, sorta). Then later on, if you want to join the rest of society in a restaurant or get laid, you may have no choice but to get the vaccine. Or live underground.

  7. Sorry, your example is a bit vague.

The other reason science is generally not "self-correcting" is because people in power will lose face, lose power, lose wealth. There's a saying that new ideas get adopted only when the old guys die off.

After 10 days they reported back for another covid test and both came back negative.

I know an 89 year old who tested positive, then tested negative one week later without any treatment.

And I am on the same wavelength regarding relying on the immune system, but the vaccines will become a political issue. People who don't get it may have some limitations. Maybe from employers, travel, ... here there was a request to re-open restaurants but only for vaccinated people.

    The scientific method is self-correcting.

Today's conclusions can be demonstrated to be wrong tomorrow by experiment.

My post got deleted? Arghhh... Youtube not allowed? ok no more links.

    Here goes again.

    Science can be self-correcting.

    But not always.

    Sometimes people challenge the theories.

    And they get labelled quacks.

But as I pointed out, Dr. Berg has 5 million subs on his channel.

The lunatic fringe who following quacks may possibly be on the rise and you may one day find yourself in the minorty as you cling to out-dated / refuted scientific theories.

    self-correcting by WHOM?

folks who are bastions of integrity?

you're delusional if you think science is always on the up and up.

i don't want to open a whole other can of worms, but the theory of evolution ... bad science! needs to be corrected. ha ha ha!

we lived in the Medieval world, where diseases were caused by witches.

What are you talking about? I thought you weren't superstitious.

    Scientists never cause disease?

Who created cigarettes? It wasn't scientists who put 600 harmful chemicals together in that little stick?
