  1. Not my photo, but, best bike I ever long term owned, including 2 Kawi 750's. My big bro had a Yam RD350 (circa 1978?) The RD nearly threw me off the seat 1st time I opened the throttle. 2 stroke madness.????????
  2. That was how they got the 2 knifes, strapped to his body, safely away. Really Lou. You need to get out among 100 Kuwaiti's more often. I do it every day and my wifey encourages me to go and drink in their sois.????????
  3. Hmmm. Haven't got the time to read 38 pages of posts. I might just erupt into "Violence" as would Ian Hunter & Mott the Hoople. Too bizzy (sic) with Willie Deville at the moment.????????
  4. Found his (Mink?) CD, featuring Italian Shoes, in a Vienna record shop (remember those?!), circa mid 1990's. Downstairs in the Vienna subway while I was back-packin'. Wow. What times indeed.
  5. Age 52 can make you do strange things in a alien (strange country). Blame the wife back at home. ????????
  6. I think you might have missed Poco and maybe Timothy B Schmit? Was talking to a long lost mate today (hence my extra interest in the thread today). Charlie Daniels, Poco and OMD (Ozark) cropped up. Willie DeVille "Mixed Up Shook Up Girl" (Live 8+mins) blows me away. My tastes go from country to country, from genre to genre and then to the moon and back. Always enlightening to talk about music.
  7. Similar to your comment, I saw Bad Company '75 or '76 in Adelaide. Likely well entrenched in the UK but new music in Australia as 5KA only played Top40. Spellbinding concert.????????
  8. Cheers. Brilliant stuff.???????? For the life of me I can not seem to get the links/vids working. Guess I would not have been employed as a roadie. I have, for near on 50 years, found the whole Skynyrd story irresistible. Googling them is simply amazing, such as the reason Collins & van Zant wrote "That Smell" from Street Survivors. (Hint....can you upload for me?)????????
  9. If you have 13.56 minutes to spare and some volume available. The link vid may or may/not be cr*p but google/u-tube or whatever and enjoy some ape s**t guitar. 21 August 1976, Knebworth (village and civil parish UK.) Legend has it the Stones came out an hour late as the crowd, 100K+ were still calling for Skynyrd. A relatively unknown American band blowing the Stones away! Collins, Rossington, Gaines, Wilkeson, van Zant, Powell, Pyle, the Girls etc. Oh. Danged if I can get this link thing to insert (no further comments please.) Cut & paste browser job?????????
  10. Perhaps after Covid & the (non) election, we all need a good lie down and a ASSEAN NOW (sic) free day or twelve. Including me.????????
  11. Morning "Woodies" don't count as being excited.????????
  12. As Brian said to the gathered throng in the Life of Brian; "You are all Individuals." Response together of; "Yes. We are all Individuals." I have a mate who sits on the ugly chair for 3 days if there was a hidden chile in his tucker. Luckily I have no problems. It is also quite possible that your hotel was dodgy. 50 cents each way.????????
  13. Ah, "properly", as in we Westerners have been told to do so by our folks. I love different cultures. I think a "butchers shop" in a Sri Lanka hill village back circa 1990 opened my eyes to how things are done differently.????????
  14. Maybe "instructed" rather than "trained". Killjoy!????????
  15. That rice cooker sounds like it is modelled on Thai traffic lights. When light starts flashing (23 hours+ 59) ignore warning sign. When light (@24 hours?) stays red, simply disregard and continue on. So yes, totally agree with you. Some foods do, some foods dont.????????
  16. Good question. Yeah, I used to fridge everything but the village family just dragged it all out again. Wifey would give me the "stupid falang" look and put a cover over the food. I gave up eventually. I join them now in leaving "most" foods out & haven't had a dose of food poison for as long as my ever diminishing memory recalls. Guessing our bods just acclimatise? Are you suggesting that you don't do similar to the wife now, or that you get crook at times?????????
  17. Pretty sure he is married to Mummy.????????
  18. More holidays? Whatever happened to work? I certainly don't see my villagers rushing off to Pattaya. Rubbish.????????
  19. Interesting Jacko. I've lived last 10 years in Thailand. Am currently in Oz. I had to supply a National Police Check (NPC) for some volunteer work. Naturally the check came back clear as I haven't been in Oz for 10 years. Bad-*ss cowboys will always circumnavigate the system, either in their home country or by way of a brown envelope here. Not sure what the answer is but I reckon the NPC isn't worth the paper it is printed on. And yeah, waiting to get back to Thailand.????????
  20. You 'tinking way too much. Try, (maybe), Singapore if you like to overthink. And you want a cheap Sugar Baby? Thailand is not just about cheap women and cheap living.????????
  21. Thinking you unlucky in 2006.????????
  22. Wow. Obsessed with prostitutes still. Sad.????????
  23. Is adultery legal? How many Blokes leave their wife at home and land at Bkk to jump into 35 year younger wife? Lots. Of course it is legal/illegal, if you want it to be legal/illegal. Anything can be achieved if you believe in it.????????
  24. I actually appreciate these calls. Just when least expected, they pop up. Good stuff.????????
  25. Why is he still looking so orange? Comfort zone being orange?????????
