Songkran revellers begin their journeys home from Bangkok
Woof999 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The heavy traffic is in the opposite direction. Flew from Bangkok to Nakhon Phanom late yesterday afternoon. Flight was packed. Usually not so much. -
Can I wean myself off Windows, for good?
Woof999 replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in IT and Computers
Yep, at first it seems like they want you to have a Microsoft account, but there is also an option to skip and sign in without one. You can also make it login automatically, not that you should. This is not a reason to use Linux, although there are many, just none that float my boat. -
Thai man warns locals about perverted ladyboy while fishing

Well he was at the Kok river. -
Exactly this. Take the job and go there alone, staying in a hotel for at least a few weeks. If you like it, find the rental house and schools and move the rest of the family.

OP might mean the airport immigration holding block rather than the actual IDC in central Bangkok. I was refused entry a few years ago and held at Swampy in the immigration area which is a few minutes walk and down at least one flight of stairs from the arrival area. I was most definitely not free to leave and although I was only in the main area sat on a chair for an hour or two, I believe they also have holding cells / bunks their too for longer stays.

Re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi
Woof999 replied to SunsetT's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can get back to the re-entry permit desk if you are in the Fast Track lane, but in this case you do get stamped out first and then turn left on the main airside walkway (where the duty free shops are) to get to the desk. Tell the IO that you want a re-entry permit and you'll probably get escorted there (I did). Unless the security queue is really long in the normal lanes, I'd use them even if you are entitle to Fast Track. -
Thai woman denies stealing from Chinese man, accuses him of rape attempt

When did she first report the attempted rape? Was it only after she was accused of theft? -

Republic every time. They seem to draw in loads of major DJs and if there are 4 or 5 of you and you're drinking a fair amount then a VIP booth is effectively free.

I feel your pain. I've given up being loyal to one airline / alliance and am now very much a travel slag. Happier for it too. Having said that, about a decade ago Etihad were doing some bonkers deals. Business > First upgrades where you gained more miles back by flying first than it cost you in miles to upgrade. I must have flown in their A380 first apartments 20+ times and was treated like a king. Little wonder that they nearly went bust.

Removing shoes going into a shop- selective hygiene?

Their place, their rules is fine by me. What does annoy me is that I rarely wear slip-on anything on my feet. It becomes a real pain in the butt tying laces-ups 50 times per day, depending on what I'm doing. -
Then you might be able to use something like this: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/12g-8g-i4649208903-s19115137946.html Which should be refillable from the first link I sent. No idea if they are the right size, but what you are looking for are probably what the sodastreams use (if they are still around), in which case search for "sodastream gas" or similar. I too have a Glock airsoft. Tokyo Marui. It has a magazine that is filled from the large bottles in my first post. Different from yours by the sounds of it.

You mean something like this? The ones I bought previously are no longer listed and, looking at how they have worded the listing here, I'm thinking Lazada might have restricted sales. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/greengas-ultraforce-1100ml-i5091389237-s21477825689.html EDIT: Searching further, it seems like after the most recent mall shooting, Lazada and the like have removed most things Airsoft - because of course it was an Airsoft gun that was used... not:

My first thoughts are that 68k on a 13 year old car is INCREDIBLY low mileage. Does the wear on the pedals / general interior match that mileage?

Trump says country faces ‘bloodbath’ if Biden wins in November
Woof999 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Does it? https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/05/us/politics/border-deal-immigration.html Lets say just for a second, that you are correct. Currently some are saying that the numbers coming across are totally unrestricted, that the border is wide open. Wouldn't 5000 be at least a step in the right direction? Let's expend the topic just a little further too. Trump claims that immigrants are "poising the blood of our country". How can you take his position on immigration and the diluting of American bloody by supporting someone who has married multiple immigrants and fathered children with them? Ivana Trump from Czechoslovakia, mother of Don Jr, Ivanka and Eric. Melania Trump from Yugoslavia, mother of Barron. Hasn't Trump done (to an extent more than most) EXACTLY what he is saying is poisoning the US?
