Thereafter, a full week will be dedicated to mass deportations, which will solve every internal US issue. Gun crime will cease, unemployment will disappear and Marjorie Taylor Green will attend a finishing school. That leaves 3 years, 50 weeks and 6 full days to deal with Kenyagate.

It's not particularly relevant in terms of the the next Dem candidate, but by all means keep going with it. A lie should always be called out. No free ride just because "the other side did it too". I'm sure that the right will attack whoever get the Dem's nod and all will be normal in the world again. Biden is out of the race. Discussing his potential lies will neither make him more out of the race nor bring him back into it. That's what I meant in terms of diminished relevance.

Bearing or not on this particular topic, academia generally hating Trump is worthy of discussion (in another thread). It's not a badge of honour. In terms of moving forward, Biden is now out of the picture, so what he did or didn't lie about is no longer all that relevant (and that's not to excuse any potential lie he has made). Unless and until Trump's candidacy ends, his continued lies are very much relevant.

That's a reasonable response. The only think I'd really push back on is the employment, market and economy figures are pretty much fact. You don't need to be on the left or the right to compare the US's performance against its peers to judge whether a good job has been done or not. Indirectly that points to my main gripe with MAGA (and many other political parties worldwide, but MAGA of course just has to go bigger than anyone). Bi-partisan politics does not exist for them. If the left has suggested something then it MUST be bad and it cannot be judged on its merits. Just look at what happened to Mike Johnson as soon as he made any kind of deal with the Dems to get the job done. MTG comes along and wants him out. Mike Johnson is about as right wing as you can get and the bad built, butch body, bleach blonde one wants him out.

I wouldn't say Trump is worse than Hitler and, to be totally honest, I expect nothing new from him at all. We all know what he's about. There are few, if any, surprises.

i agree, she wouldn't be my choice because I don't think she would win. However, Biden added her to his ticket. He already made that choice (and won the presidency with it).
