  1. That was 10 years ago
  2. 51 years age difference is extremely unusual. (They were not living in Soi Buakhao.) Anything more than 30 years is frowned upon. This is not 2012 anymore, when Isan girls wanted a farang husband, no matter what age. I am talking about relationships with farang based on financial gains. Relationships between Thais who are not in it only for the money: age differences are not big, let's say 10 years. Contrary to some western countries, here the woman is allowed to be several years older than the man.
  3. "Medical tourists seen as cash cows" Wasn't something very similar the headline in the BP? Quite honest.
  4. Good article. According to BoT, average wage (country-wide) in the non- agricultural sector is 605 baht. The author of said article reckons that only 15% of workers get minimum wage.
  5. That's 12500 baht? They are not going to do much about it.
  6. That's Thai style
  7. Is there any difference between Orange and Kerry itself?
  8. I did the last tests there last month, and will do more this week. They do have some leeway what to test without seeing a doctor, it seems to depend on the person you talk to.
  9. Any experiences?
  10. Pretty much yes.
  11. He did that already: Bangkok Christian Hospital is one of the hospitals where you can get lab tests done without seeing a doctor, and that's what he seems to have done. St Louis Hospital is another one. Prices are similar. Quite a bit cheaper than RSU, by the way. Vejthani used to offer this, too, not sure about today.
  12. Not available in Thailand for ordinary people
  13. Has never worked for me. But I only tried it on 3 occasions, so I am not yet a professional.
  14. (Only 2 shots? You must have been vaccinated before, otherwise it would have been not enough. ) You are right, but: If you have never been vaccinated against rabies and the wound is not trivial, you may need a shot of rabies immunoglobulin in addition to the vaccine. That's very expensive, easily more than 30000.
  15. The bus companies are not allowed to do random stops en route. The stops have to be scheduled in advance, and they don't schedule many stops. They actually mostly follow these rules. The result are fast point-to-point routes, without stops at every palm tree. For example, Sombat Tour to Surin runs from Vibhadhavee all the way to Surin province without stopping in any town. Buses to and from Ubon usually do have scheduled stops, I guess otherwise it would be too far. Buses to Khonkaen usually (eg Chantours) use the Korat bypass, they don't enter Korat. When buying a ticket one can ask whether this bus stops at Korat. 20 years ago, every bus to Khonkaen would stop at Korat - no more.
  16. Buses, especially Nakhonchai Air, will usually not pick up passengers en route
  17. Buses to Buriram don't pass through Korat, they go via Chokchai
  18. Does this still exist? I used it before covid and I am wondering whether this bus station stil exists and whether they still have buses to Bangkok 24 hours. If yes: buses or vans?
  19. I think I have heard of it as part of the covid bureaucracy. It doesn't exist anymore
  20. They do this to give you an incentive to learn Thai. ????
  21. This equation doesn't make sense, either. BTW 75/21%=~350
  22. That's correct. That's wrong. 150g/15=10g per pack of 5 (you said there are 15 packs), which is 1 serving. So 3.jpg says exactly the same as 1.jpg I have no idea what your equation is supposed to mean. In this label, "sugar" has a different meaning. Here it's not นำตาล, it's นำตาลทราย. That's the amount of sugar out of a bag put into the dough. 21% of every single cookie are this added sugar. But of course, other ingredients also contain sugar นำตาล (there are no sugarless raisins). That's why the end product contains 10g sugar for every 34g serving, which is roughly 10g/34g=.3=30%
  23. I would call this multiparametric
