Its cheaper for students who study in the UK , they pay local rates , rather than international rates at University . Rather than apply for a student visa and pay the fee for a university , its cheaper to sail across the English channel , apply for asylum and get a cheaper rate at University . Its cheaper that way and more guaranteed as a student visa may be rejected and claiming asylum isn't rejected

No I don't live in Thailand , I used to go to Thailand because it was cheap and hot and different , these days its expensive , the heat is an annoyance and its not much different to the UK , well, not as different as it used to be
