OK, can you provide some evidence of racism at football games ? Not polls or peoples opinion , actual reports of racist incidents at football games ? The reports in this O.P are from online abusers and it just takes a few people posting things online for it to be headline news . So, what are the racist incidents at football grounds that you are referring to ?

Those figures show that in one year at 18 London football grounds, there were 40 arrests for racism . Those football stadiums hold about 500 000 people and 25 games a year and that's 15 million spectators and 40 of them got arrested and probably got life bans from attending again. 40 people arrested out of ten million spectators , shows there isn't a problem

You really need to get your editing sorted out . There have been numerous false reports of football fans singing racists songs , like when many Brighton fans were all reported to have chanting "Zeig Heil, Zeig Heil" throughout the game . It was then bought to the attention of the reporter that Brighton's nickname is the Seagulls and they were chanting "Seagulls, Seagulls" and NOT *Zeig Heil*

The game was from three years ago and no further action was taken , the "racist abuse" was a disgusting song about Welsh peoples alleged sexual relations with sheep and the Welsh sung a song back about English mens alleged sexual relations with each other . No one at the ground cared about the songs , just Guardian readers got upset by it

Well of course people are going to think racism is increasing in football if there are numerous false newspaper reports of it happening and English and Welsh fans singing songs to each other is regarded as racism . Asking people whether they think that there's racism in football ISNT proof that it exists . You think that racism exists in football , how many games did you go to last season and what did you witness or did you gain your opinion from false media reports?

Opposition fans have for many years sung songs claiming Chelsea are "rent boys" , its only recently been made an offence and that's why its been reported and those "who truly love the game " and go every week are not bothered by what oppo fans sins . Reading V Cardiff were fans singing anti English/Welsh songs at each other and the "always offended" people categorised it as racist chanting . Its just football fans singing songs to each other and non going people want to tell them what songs they should be singing .

Racism was quite common at football 60 years ago, although its quite non existent these days and this story is about online abuse with some people posting things online . I do think that a few idiots posting abuse online should just be ignored , rather than being headline news
