  1. Not only for him but for everyone who doesn't want to know how many times you have to go pee a day
  2. Yes but that was yesterday, today it seems they want to protect themselves and stay in their place as senators with the new government and that's why they are raising their demands, nothing new in Thailand. Those who believe that something will change will soon be disappointed.
  3. There will be no peaceful future for Thailand unless the dangerous situation is resolved quickly
  4. I buy him Opla/Purina but my dog only eats it in the evening too but not always because he waits during the day for the succulent dishes that my wife prepares for him (unofficially these are only leftover tables but they are always more large portion than mine) so if he is still hungry in the evening, the Purina suits him well, happy dog life.
  5. These elections are really fun, the context of democracy in Thailand is a vague concept or rather the concept how much you give me to vote for you, a typical example that is found in southern Italy which is called the mafia but here in Thailand it is called democratic elections, however and in the same concept of democratic freedom to receive payment for a share. And everyone is happy.....
  6. Poetic thought, thank you much appreciated????
  7. I lived in Udon for two years and I don't miss that city at all. Extremely slow traffic, high pollution, police always looking for money, extremely hot with no wind, yesterday it was 45 C°, mosquitoes as big as vampires, impossible to get out on the roads by bike without risking being crushed by trucks, apart from the usual centres commercial insipid and idiotic, truly a city to be avoided.
  8. Personally the so called "security cameras" are spies that you install in your private spaces, so they will never enter my house, I prefer a system thousands of years old that never fails, a good watchdog.
  9. 6 dog woohoo well protect house????
  10. The dogs that roam around your property are only looking for food and certainly do not defend your property because it is not theirs, but if you have a dog in your garden he defends his property without any instructions. My dog is happy to be in his garden and doesn't need to take him for walks. The only thing he needs is food and water and tick treatment. The advantage of having a dog and having an alarm when you are at home long before your electronic gadgets. Of course if you don't like dogs not taking it would be a burden on you and the poor dog who would not feel welcome.
  11. It can also happen that dogs are poisoned and it also happens but at least it is an alarm of a possible theft. To my knowledge there is unfortunately no warning system like in the West that you can absolutely trust in Thailand. Living in a condo has more security benefits than living in a home that's secure.
  12. I've read well that you don't want dogs, but reconsider having three dogs in your garden as they have plenty of Thais and the best weapon of deterrence you can have against masked thieves that you could never identify with the best cameras. But of course it's just my opinion.
  13. Very sad news. Thank you Joe for all your help you have given so many of us, we would always remember you.
  14. From your answer you are not a very sociable type and unable to smile, I will remember you never to reply to your posts again.
  15. There is one thing that is not clear in your story, you are married and therefore your wife will have to divorce at the end if she meet another man so you will have to comply with what the judge will decide and you will have to sell the house and share half of the sale. You can not find different solutions this is the only way you would take, Many farangs have passed this road, you are not alone.
  16. The more the request increases and because it is sure that it will be paid.
  17. Next time try with a smile maybe work better.
  18. You spoke to him and her in Thai????
  19. I don't believe you because if you did you wouldn't write what you wrote due to a lack of personal experience.
  20. I see that you give judgments without knowing the situation and you will never have made a trip by car or train from Hua Hin to Bangkok.
  21. Living in Isan is completely alone it would be like living as a hermit, there would be nothing interesting to do. Apart from the two cities UD and KK everything would be deadly and very enjoyable to live. But if one seeks absolute calm and is satisfied with local food it might be what he is looking for.
