  1. This is all nonsense and is at best self inflicted. The benefits safety net in the UK is generous and readily available. Poverty, when it exists, is inevitably family or individual self inflicted. Lack of opportunity often translates to 'don't care', 'can't be bothered'', never tries. I was raised in a Northern industrial town within what would be classed as a poor society. I, like very many others, worked my way out of that background. For me it was into the Military for 24 years and onward from there. The UK workforce is clearly feckless, lazy, WFH obsessed (teachers now wish to be compensated because they are denied WFH) and want more pay to do less, that is just pathetic. Lesson here, if you are poor, don't have a baby at 16 years old, get off your lazy ass, get motivated, make some effort and dig yourself out of poverty.
  2. That doesn't make sense, but as you are obviously American, and therefore have the King's English as your second language ( your first being Louisiana Red Neck), that is excusable.
  3. Definition from the Oxford Dictionary: Generally, a superior human being, both in thought and deed. A natural leader of people with a great Military mind and a sense of what is right and proper. Possessing superiors social skills ( unless raised in Liverpool, Manchester or Glasgow). A natural speaker of the King's English, unless, see brackets above and a teacher to those who are less fortunate , such as peoples born and raised in less enlightened societies, such as in the former colonies of the British Empire. .
  4. Yes, of course. And your point it? But of course, we don't have a very resent history of blatant discrimination.
  5. None of this is relevant to the report, or the post. Who gives a toss about where 'Japanese Americans' live in the US. In any event, aren't all Americans just 'Americans' regardless of race or ethnicity? Oh yes, I forget, the US, the great Bastian of racism and inequality.
  6. The online system seemed to improve for a couple of years; it has now reverted to rat sxxt, which like a lot of digital stuff here, is its default setting. Eg; the AIS app is out tonight, the SCB one was out on Saturday. This is Thailand, it happens.
  7. You're missing the point in my comment, but that's not unusual on this forum.
  8. Brad Pitt is nearly 60. So he could go out with a 25 year old and be criticized by the OP. Yeh, right mate, you should be so lucky.
  9. She is as thick as a brick and an embarrassment, its got nothing to do with racism.
  10. Sinking one Navy ship, having an aircraft carrier that never sees an aircraft, and never moves from its moorings, and, just this week, trying to sink another of their own ships by gunfire; perhaps ships are just not their 'thing'.
  11. You are only ripped off if you care; I don't. My agent is excellent, trustworthy, fast and efficient. I have no problem paying for that level of service, just as I use an international Law firm for my legal issues.
  12. Many dogs do not like direct fan air, mine certainly do not. Let's face it, Thailand is just a horrible environment for domestic pets. Disease, virus's, predators, heat, and lack of real exercise due to weather issues, shortens their lives considerably. My two small dogs live, eat and sleep in aircon for most of the year and that gives them as good a quality of life as I can provide for them.
  13. TINDER in Thailand? That's something that used to be called 'taking coals to Newcastle'. I guess it's like taking a hooker to Los Vegas.
  14. To me, once you have a pet, that loves and depends on you, you have a moral duty to take care of it yo the best of your ability and do whatever is necessary to give them the best life possible, keep them safe, and the best care possible. Avoid suffering, but never look on cost as a limitation to care.
  15. No doubt the World was a much better place for a few hours without FB. If it had gone on much longer, perhaps some sanity would have returned to mankind. That smug prick Zukerberganfowler, or whatever his name is, should be treated as an international criminal.
  16. What a dumb statement mate. Excessive force is exactly what it required in War, its called bringing overwilling force to bear on the enemy and its the cornerstone of combat. You are getting mixed up with 'Military Aid to the Civil Power', which is an entirely different situation.
  17. Go use a reputable agent. 30,000, plus the passport fee, where I live and it's money well spent. They deal with all the paperwork and deal directly with VFS. No visits to VFS are required. The Agent will also get all the visa/extension/TM30 info transferred to the new passport.
  18. I could not be more disinterested in others opinions on this subject., unless its in support of the troops. Experience what Special Forces experience, and indeed look at the utterly disgraceful pursuit of Para Reg troops after Bloody Sunday. All the bleeding hearts and politico's need to shut the fxxx up and leave the troops to do their job. Military discipline can deal with the outliers. Western troops, as an international cohort, are the most disciplined, effective and dedicated troops in the World. They just don't need this kind of sxxt on their backs. Look at who they are supposed to have killed and then weep your crocodile tears. For all the above applies to the IDF in their pursuit of terrorists in Gaza.
  19. Utterly ridiculous, bordering on lunacy. It will never happen and neither should it.
  20. I have many small white and yellow BFs in my garden, attracted mainly to the yellow 'Indian Trees'. we see everywhere and interestingly, flyng over and around my fresh water pool (no chlorine). I hardly ever see any larger than a big thumb nail, even in the jungle areas around me.
