Check the numbers. In 2023 China sold circa 39 million EVs World Wide. If they keep up this rate of growth, possible, maybe, in the average 8 year span life of most EV batteries, think of how many customers will be looking for them to replace the key component. You either end up with a massive supply problem on lithium (lots of other technologies have a call on the chemicals, not least mobile devices and aircraft, civil and military), or the whole thing comes to a grinding halt. Lot's of EVS parked up with nowhere to go. However you cut it, the economics of EVs just doesn't add up. -

Batteries, the most expensive item on an EV , are lifed items, some reports suggest for Chinese produced cars, somewhere between 6 to 10 years. That effectively means that after 2 years or so, any 'run of the mill' EV will have no resale value, especially as the Chinese are discounting to grab market share. My ICE Vios is 7 years old, has a resale and part X value of around 250K and its engine parts can all be replaced relatively cheaply. EVs are a monumental scam, sold on misinformation, bad economics, unproven environmental statements and to folk who think they are cool and trendy. -

There are more lies, misinformation, twisted truths, distortion, misdirection, pure unbelievable nonsense, that comes out of China, from China, than ever goes the other way. If that lot swallowed a nail they would sxxt a corkscrew. -
Tax Return 2025

You are wrong. There is no international agreement on double taxation of income. You pay tax where you are tax resident, or where you generate additional untaxed funds, you do not pay tax by international agreement where tax has been previously paid, unless its a one off tax not tied to income, such as a tourist tax on arrival or on travel tickets etc . -

A None Immigrant O or OA is nothing more than a glorified tourist visa. It gives no more certainty of long term living in the country than does a long term tourist visa. Do you think that for one moment, tourists are going to have to pay Thai tax on money they bring into the country, even if they extend past 180 days? Do you therefore believe that retired expats will be swept up into this, even if the criteria published to date does not show or state this? Do you believe that the Thais are so short sighted that those with the None O or OA will leave the country after 180 days and use their not inconsiderable spending power sitting on a beach in Cambodia or Vietnam and deprive the Thai treasury of much more than the tax they would otherwise pay, if that were proposed? I don't believe any of this. -
Bored with this now

He said she hasn't got a passport. Clearly a domestic flight
-
This is getting painful, as well as irritating. What part of 'put down exactly what is on the ID card', don't you understand? If the Miss is not needed it won't matter and if it is needed well....... Now just go do it and let the rest of us get some peace
-
As I said in my post, whatever is on the ID card is what you need to use.
-
That would certainly be the easiest way to go and she would then learn the procedure for future travel.
-
You must use the correct name, as on her ID card or passport. Any mistake in the spelling will negate the ticket. Domestic flights only need an ID
-
An endoscope will either conform it or set your mind at rest. If during the procedure, they find one or more small ulcerations, they seal them using an attachment to the scope. Its uncomfortable, but you can have some light sedation and it will be pain free
-
Firstly, go see a doctor, as you don't know who is giving you advice here. So here I go, giving advice, as I have experienced the same., It sounds suspiciously like you may have an ulcer. Yes, the meds you are taking certainly won't help. Yes I use Nexium and yes, its freely available at a pharmacy. Check on google what dietary changes you can make to ease the symptoms. Here is my disclaimer, I am not a medical Doctor, I am a real one, that is a PhD.

No, its people reading stuff into the regulation that are not there. Its people panicking when they have no need to do so. Its people on forums spreading nonsense as fact. I will not be paying any of this new tax as I am not a Thai National, or tax resident, not registered for tax, here earning money from overseas.
