Go by the date on your 90-Day Report receipt/Next appointment notice that is stapled into your passport.  Ignore the date on the email from immigration as it has been overcome by events, the event being that one was done for you at your yearly extension.  The email notification system is very crude and only takes account of reports done using the online system, not reports that are done in person, nor reports that weren't done because one left Thailand before being here for 90 consecutive days.

Brilliant thanks for the swift reply (is it usual for immigration to give you a new 90 day report notification when you renew your extension ?)

No the report will be due 90 days from your reentry.

That report may need to be done in person or via mail as it will be your first report.

Do not think it can be done online.

    UJ will advise.

A slightly different question on a similar theme, I did my first online 90 day report in mid September meaning my next report would be mid December, when i renewed my yearly extension in mid October immigration gave me a new 90 day report slip with my next report due in Jan 2023, I have just received an email from noreply@eservices .immigration.go.th saying my 90 day report is now due (mid december) just wondering what the best course of action would be TIA for any pointers

Just the question i was about to ask, so it goes to the immigration office that deals with the address you provide on the application ? i submitted mine 2 days ago and it is saying status pending

Just a quick update on my application for info, I applied Monday AM approved Thursday PM as has been said minimal info was requested, Name, PP number, address (It wouldn't let me submit the form with the road/lane box left empty so i just put unknown Rd and it worked ok) entry to Thailand date and permission to stay date, no mention of TM 6 or visa details so all in all a pretty painless process many thanks for the info provided and good luck with your online application ????????

I'm pretty sure it has to be received, checked and replied to by the Immigration office you deal with.

    In my case Pathum Thani.

So it's up to someone there to process it (ie. Not done by a robot computer ).

But as mentioned, when it gets close to deadline, I shoot them off a polite email enquiring about its progress.

Usually get the Approved email in a couple of hours.

PT office is only a 15 minute drive (in normal traffic) but that office and the roads can be crowded and busy.

No thanks, I'll stick with Online, but as DrJack has suggested, do it immediately after receiving the reminder email.

Hope your approval has come through ?

If possible renew in the UK, use both Passports for return then transfer stamps when back in Thailand, I don't know this for certain but it would make everything easier if possible

How long will you be in the UK?  With all the current delays in renewing passports, I'd be worried about not getting the new (and old) passport back in time for my trip home!  Renewing in Thailand is relatively easy if you live near Bangkok or Chiang Mai, or are happy with making the trips to submit application and collect the new passport, or don't mind paying an agent to do this for you. You also don't submit the old passport with the application (just a copy) if you renew in Thailand.

Either way, you'll have to make a trip to Immigration to transfer Extension stamps into the new passport

    Thanks for the info ????

The possessor of a residence can also do the the TM30 report. It is not solely the owners responsibility.

A copy of the receipt for a TM30 report would be accepted for the proof it was done.

Just a quick question if you go on holiday for a week does the hotel automatically complete a TM 30 for you as a foreigner and if so do you have to refile a TM 30 on your return to your permanent address

I did my exempt=>non-O=>12 month extension via the famous Maneerat in Pattaya back in December 2021. bank account now required because of new big boss at Jomtien.

B3,700 to open the account at the nearest BBL branch around the corner. B3K was for the obligatory insurance policy, B512 was an initial deposit into the bank account, and the remaining B188 to agent I guess. you get to keep the B512 after the other business is sorted out.

Sorry I'm a bit confused are you saying the agent puts 800k in your account for the visa application then you give it back to them ? as has been said its usually one of two ways either you have a bank account with sufficient funds and the agent assists with the paperwork and application or the agent sorts everything out and you don't need a bank account, the stamps are invariably from a northern province but as I said immigration aren't bothered when you return to Thailand because there is no restriction on where you live or travel to and the stamps are from a genuine immigration office

I  meant if you have no money in the bank then you will need a BKB account to use an agent, why you may ask, well you tell me why it is so.

If doing non O, extension etc. through an agent you don't need a bank account and immigration (on return to Thailand) aren't bothered where the stamps are from as its not a requirement to live in the the same place all the time

I can't claim an immigration officer never stamped my passport, but I can claim that a wrong date was stamped.

My wife had booked my flight from the U.S. and had me leaving 28 days after arrival in Thailand.   On departure, immigration told me that I was 3 days overstay.    They would only go by the date stamped in my passport.  When I gave the officer the ticket showing when I arrived in Thailand the officer looked at it briefly, gave the ticket back, and then told me, 3 day overstay 1500 baht!

    P. O.'ed, my wife when she found out and she called to complain to her cousin (an immigration officer) after I returned to the U.S. but he said it was too late to do anything about it.

As an aside, I miss the good old days, when my wife had relatives working in immigration, before fast lanes.   One of her relatives would meet me as I deplaned and walked me through to the diplomatic immigration process area.   Strangely enough, the first time that was done, the diplomatic process area was through a door, into a short hallway that led to a stairway up to the baggage claim area.  I think that was shortly after Suvanabhumi Airport was built. There were no signs on the door.  I guess you had to know which one to go to.

Had a similar experience at Suvarnabhumi Airport  few years back didn't check when I passed through immigration only when having a pint in domestic waiting for my internal flight, I was only stamped in for 30 days but had a 60 day visa, went to the info desk between A and B and the most helpful bloke I've ever met rushed me through a secret door and a few corridors and in what seemed like no time was back in immigration where the IO corrected it and apologised ????????

I flew into BKK last week from the UK with Thai air and they gave me one on the plane to complete, at immigration the IO kept the arrivals section and gave the departure section back to me

I was also asked by the IO for my boarding pass (Never been asked before) but I couldn't find it and she didn't seem too bothered and stamped me in anyway

There have been few similar threads.

    I'm amazed.

If the airline hands you a tm6 or they are handed out in immigration queue then fill it in.

If the io accepts it and hands you back the departure section then take it.

    Job done. Who cares.

    Clearly.

Thai passport is easy to get.  British passport, you will have to prove paternity.  Check out the most recent requirements on.

     https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/overseas-passport-supporting-documents-group-3

I suggest that you use an immigration agent as its by no means an easy process.  Are you on the Childs Thai Birth Certificate?  I hope so.

Would that be an immigration agent in the UK or Thailand ?

I go to the same 7 Eleven store everyday. The reason is I really like a cashier girl from there.

I dressed well, stay confident and treat politely to everyone when I go there.

As I go there almost everyday, she knows me but we never had conversation.

I cannot catch her outside. I only see her working in the store.

So I'm wondering can I have a small talk with her in the store. Like asking her name etc.

Is it ok or does it look bad as she is working?

    It certainly looks bad if she's 15 and you're 73  ????
