    I will just continue to live as normal. If have to pay tax, then just do that. Why so much hassle over this? Want to live tax free? Move to UAE 😉

    Not worth the hassle. As I said, we differ in taste. Some have a working pallet, and some don´t. Anyway, I will give you a few choices: Koh Chang: Babylon Koh Chang, Koh Chang Seafood, Sea Breeze, Siam Kitchen Koh Samui: Saffron Banyan Tree, Phensiri Thai, The Island View, Sala Thai Koh Tao: Bansong Kitchen, Simple Life Koh Samed: Summerday As I say, up to you.

    Right, I know what you mean. I live in that Nowhere place 😉 However, there are some fairly good choices even here. Mostly easy to solve my problem as I can order what I need online from Bangkok, Pattaya or Hua Hin. After that, I already told I am not a stranger to the kitchen 🙂

    I don´t know that as I have never used it on more. However, it must not be on the same device as the registered sim. The registered sim must only be connected to you bank account and both be in the same name. If not, they will refuse use of mobile banking and some other services.

    It all depends on taste and wallet I suppose. Here you are talking about bland Pad Thai, which is some kind of street food for backpackers. I am referring to restaurants or a nice evening on the beach seafood dinner/buffet. Anyway, never had any problems finding good food on islands, and I have experience as a chef for 5 years i fine dining.

    Why do you post something like that? The foreigners were already helping. I am pretty sure that there was both Thai and foreigners walking by without doing anything before that. I am also sure that it would have been Thai´s doing the helping if the good ones of them came before the foreigners.

    No, never had a problem with them. Do you have your mobile sim number in your name registered with the bank?

    I don´t think there is any specific law in this matter, and the problem, looking at the photos does not seem to exist. However, like others already posted, you should tell him to trim any overhang to your side. Not being on speaking terms with your neighbour must be terrible. I guess both are unable to forgive and forget.

    Seems like money laundering not pay same good as before, judging out of his attire. Far too many Russian in Thailand at the moment, as many of them are into shady businesses. Better send them all home to Putin with the evidence. I am pretty sure he would like to keep the money in the country at the moment.

    Good work at the end! Took awhile like @hotchilli posted above. But, it´s the result at the end that counts.

    That´s a good way to start. Good initiative from the police. However, something they should have done long time ago. Better late than ever. Just to hope they will do more checkups and deal with this in the long run, which is also something that seems hard with many things. I also think they will have to come up with harsher punishment and a better education for the guards. Same as they need with the driver license. <removed reply to deleted>

    I know they have some decent beaches. Otherwise I have found a lot that are very short and limited with a fence stopping the water. However, I haven´t looked at all so maybe I missed a lot too.

    No of course I have not been to many islands. Just talking a lot of BS, and totally missed that during my 25 years in this country. Are you for real? Also complaining about the food. Might you just be one of the many foreigners in Thailand that can´t be without their food menu from home?

    Yeah, Hua Hin is also a good choice. However, you must chose a hotel with a private beach and be confined to that for clean living.

    Oh, dear! Was it the money you complained about, or did you want more comfort? It actually sounded like you wanted a better comfort, otherwise, why complain? You know, like you did, you just get the same 5h1t times 2

    Nope! That will never happen. Respect is one thing, and of course you should respect people with no concern about their heritage, religion nor culture. However, respect is also something that needs to be eared and cared for. As you mention in examples, there you have people that do not respect others. They, then automatically, do not deserve your respect.

    Try some islands. That is usually always the cleanest and most quiet choice.

    Ok, but does that really concern you? If you don´t like it, move on. You know, this is an open forum, and different people voice their opinions here.
