    I don´t understand this. Of course the teacher is wrong and totally out of order with no right to punish students at all. He should be lined up for some good corporal punishment. What I don´t understand, is why the students still willingly partake in such thing. It´s just to say no, and if that does not help go to the school office. No help, publish online or report to higher instances.

    No, it´s not. It´s reality. There is NON-O based on marriage that you can have a work permit on, There is NON-B that you can have a work permit on. There is NON-O based on retirement that you, (according to the rules) can not have a work permit on. If a visa is easier or not so easy to get or make, has no power regarding that.

    In normal circumstances, I would agree 100 % with you. Here, however, only 50 %. Right now, it´s extremely sensitive and they all must be aware of what they do and ow they do it as well as how it looks. Not fair, but a balance that just must be walked.

    Yeah, unfortunately they have daily meeting on this forum. ???? However, as you have found out, you have a lot of options. 1. Just apply and get the day they tell you. 2. Apply on Friday, and get on Monday 3. Travel first, where you wish to go, and later go to Savannakhet or Vientiane to take care of visa before entering Thailand again. Just to take your pick and be happy happy.
