I think a lot of ex-pats come here and they start counting in Thai baht. I find it helpful sometimes to count in dollars, if the condo was charging me $6 to replace a light bulb, I would consider that a bargain. Especially considering the fact that more than half of that cost is the bulb itself.
Yeah, that´s the big problem here. Too many stay a couple of years, and suddenly fall in to the Thai baht trap. Everything becomes expensive as the numbers sounds soo high. The complaining starts, and the money counting, getting scared if have enough to stay and live. It´s actually a very sad story. Like 6 USD as you say, and take away 3. Then you have the terrible price of a small chang beer out one night. Laughable!

Some members need to grow up.
You are perfectly right in that reply. Just a question about the specifics of some.

Nah, not smart-ass. Only instinct told me that, actually. Didn´t even have to think.
But, thank you. It´s nice to know you loved it and thought it was awesome. -

Isn't it obvious? He collected good Karma through his many previous lives. He was a good father, a good husband and a good person.
So Karma spared him.
Hey! That´s totally logical. Can´t be more obvious!

Of course it does. That´s the whole idea with tracking.

Is it legal under the laws of the kurusapha to make foreign teachers teach their colleagues?
I believe it will be, if you are not forced to work overtime at the same time.

yeah, just sad that his toughness must be inherited from his Indian ancestors. But, it´s all good, that the rest of the world can export some quality to the UK.

Lads, can someone tell me when exactly Bangkok’s roads turned into a warzone?
About the same time the first car arrived in Thailand.

I am trying to make this short, something I have never experienced.
I went on a trip up north to Chiang Mai and Lampang. Found a good restaurant.
So I thought, "Let's have dinner." Being hungry after a long drive, I asked for a menu card, only to be told there was none. I asked politely, "How can I know what to order?"
The answer was "You just have to log on to our website and order,, not having my smartphone
with me, still in my luggage. Why can't they have just a single menu card for people without smartphones ? I noticed a few
people left as well. I am not here complaining, but I guess they could have at least one single one
for people without smartphones. Rant over.
Not really new at all. Has been in some places for a couple of years.

If you can drive, don´t do it in Thailand at the age of 21.

Ok, Indians and Arabs I can understand, but what is generally wrong with the Ozzies?

Actually a good story for once. Happy for the guy. Eight year older car, though.

This is an awesome idea? As soon as we see a drone, we will automatically take up our passport and let then photo copy the last stamp page.

Generally speaking of course, there are always exceptions.
Malcolm, the answer is most of the times no, but as you post there are exceptions.

Me, by the way – and true to form, as pointed out above: Malcy deliberately crafts posts to provoke, stir up controversy, and bait reactions.
Your opinion. Might not be correct, but you probably know that already

The core of your post – calling out awful behaviour – I of course I agree with....
.... But true to form, you zero straight in on the foreigners and pretend Thais never act the same. It’s lazy, biased, and frankly tiresome. Had you said “More unhinged people in Thailand,” it might’ve come off as balanced.... But, its always the farang that gets your spotlight.... . Predictable to the point of parody... It was of little surprise that you were first in line to jump on it with an 'anti-foreginer' rant.
It´s you that are reading and understanding it a certain way. I have never posted that there are no Thais making wrong, behaving bad or are criminals. I have also explained, that does not reflect on me and what I think Thais are thinking about foreigners. That´s why I quote about foreigners, as I believe it reflects on the foreign society. Hope you understand what I explained this time.
After that, please, stop tell people how they should write things, just to be suitable for you.-

Last time i read they pulled back the troops on both sides. Maybe the village headman should adhere to that as well.

Another blind driver. They have to stop issue driver licenses to the blind.

Flipping ek... Yep... the foreigner (whatever nationality) was a total ayhole... deserves serious legal consequences for that attack...
But... geeeeezzz... with such predictability, this thread has brought out the best of the cockwombles...
I don´t know what you see wrong with my post. I just wrote more unhinged foreigners in Thailand. Of course the majority is good and behave. I just think we get to read far too much about different things and nationalities in negative news.
