  1. Quite even though some of the officers admit they asked for the money, according to the BKP?
  2. Fair comment except in this particular case it seems social media, at least what she posted is more trustworthy?
  3. I wonder if Big Joke will be looking into this, or is he only concerned about the Chinese?
  4. You are absolutely correct, but if they did that, an apology, they would be admitting they were in the wrong?
  5. Whilst you are correct, the "civilians" do not have the power to stop and search you, extort money or arrest you?
  6. They deal with non Thais, hence its an Immigration Office? They should be able to speak the most widely used language in the world, don't you think? It should be part of their job description? I don't expect all cops to be able to speak English, but Immigration cops definitely yes!
  7. Immigration is there for foreigners, Thais in general don't go there, unless with a a partner? Surely the guys at Immigration should speak good English, at least? Some do some don't? Why should you need a Thai person to translate?
  8. Read it and the CCTV footage is not shown, the RTP just say they have it and it refutes what the girl says? Its very simple, show the footage with the time stamp and we will all see?
  9. Quite so. The RTP have the CCTV footage and claim it refutes what the young lady said? All they need to do is publicize the video, with time stamp? If they do, its all cleared up? If not........??
  10. You say: "after purchasing an Education Visa to live in peace for a year and go to class twice a week" So do you they bought it from an 'agent', or they went thru the correct channels. Class twice a week seems a bit iffy? Of course its not my business, but asking for a friend!
  11. According to the article: "Her friends videotaped the conversation but were forced to delete the clips, she said." Just think if they had allowed the filming, all this would have been avoided and the police would be proved innocent?????
  12. Right, that fact that they demanded the filming to be stopped and deleted speaks volumes!
  13. Whilst i agree with you, if you are taken to the police station, it may get very intimidating? "She was subjected to a body and bag search. One person in the group sensing trouble started filming and the police told them to stop and remove what had been recorded. She was then taken to the police station where she was made to apologise for something she had not done." The problem in Thailand is this happens all the time. Who do you complain to?
  14. I general I agree with your sentiment, but you need to lighten up and realize sarcasm, possibly humor, when you see it?
  15. Apart from your third question, I am sure General Prayut could answer?????
