Haven't read the thread.....but pay attention to airflow.....try to avoid trapped, air hot spots....we have a couple.
Also consider big, wide concertina doors to open up the house to air (at least in the winter time)......I would put up external shutters...keeps the house cool(er) and is a security feature.
We have a 'Songkran unit' set up opposite us.......I haven't seen them stop a single car or motorbike rider in three days.....just sit there chatting, drinking and on their phones.
Pattaya motorcycle taxi rider threatens to kill 2 foreigners over fare dispute.........perfect example.......fare 80 baht, tried to beat the fare down to 40 baht for two....morons?
Often pay over the odds just to avoid any hassle.......if a tuk-tuk driver is asking for 150 baht and I know it's a 100 baht ride.......do I really care?.........just pay it and don't use him again.
My first Songkran was 1993, BKK........now that was an experience.......I remember catching a bus where everyone on board was soaking, including a British business guy in a suit.....he was not a happy camper.
I could even start to feel for some of them.......imagine being totally opposed to Putin and his war mongering and then being sent to the frontline?......horrendous.
Money lending is rife around where we live......so many living hand to mouth.......interest rates are extortionate 2/3 % per month!!!
I don't get involved, but the wife has 250,000 out on loan.
You really need to put anything like that, preferably silvered, outside the window, preventing the energy from even entering the living space.
Silvered, plastic shutters outside would be the real deal.
