  1. Don't forget blue ink for the forms.
  2. Well whatever you get up to it beats watering the b**ody garden and walking the s*dding dog every morning......neither of which, sadly, is a euphemism
  3. Apart from usual village morons burning anything on the floor they can scrape up to burn ........we now have an arsonist setting fire to huge tracts of vacant government land near us. MIL has lost half a yam field and a dozen banana trees. The mountains near us are only just visible now and the sugarcane burning hasn't even started in earnest.
  4. Love my kids to bits.....but would not be shelling out 35k a piece to bring their body's back to the UK. And agree.....35k seems a lot of money......probably seen the 'Captain Tom affair' and fancied a slice of that.
  5. Personally I'd limit voting to white males aged 30 to 50.......at 30 you've got some life experience and a lot of skin in the game.......at 50 you have a lot of experience and some skin in the game.
  6. Lowering the age will help Reform....or so we are led to believe......youngsters are huge fans of Musk. Once Musk has sorted out the leadership and has his guy running the show, Labour might find they've shot themselves in the foot on this one.
  7. Shame if they remove the requirement for photographic ID.......it nearly managed to stop Mr Boris Johnson from voting
  8. How does their appearance prevent them from being effective administrators?.....Musk dresses up all the time and Trump must spend an hour each day on his makeup......but that's okay?
  9. With a lot of the local primary schools closing down around us......ours has stayed open......I see kids who must be only be 8/9/10 years old on motorbikes/scooters going to school.
  10. Trump? Musk? Farage? (According to Musk) These 'characters'?
  11. What is the title of the thread????? Start a new thread if you want to obsess about Biden's mental (in)capacity
  12. Guy walking along our high Street back home......a huge slate fell off the roof and missed his left shoulder by no more than 6"......went clean through his head.
  13. I guess you might gain some insight from airport lounges, bars, cafes and restaurants as to why Americans seem to have such a strong voice on here.
  14. I would totally agree with you....but don't see what point you are making........ the police, the CPS, local MPs, government ministers are not all brainwashed muslims?
  15. .....and washed away with the rain into the drains.......leaving the air cleaner.....easy to understand with a brain cell. From Chat GTP Yes, rain naturally cleans the air of pollutants like dust, pollen, smoke particles, and even some gaseous pollutants through processes known as wet deposition and scavenging. Here’s how it works: 1. Mechanisms of Air Cleaning by Rain: 1. Washout (Rainout): • Process: Raindrops falling through the atmosphere collide with airborne particles (dust, soot, pollen). • The particles stick to the droplets and are carried down to the ground when the rain falls. • Effectiveness: Very effective at removing large particles and water-soluble pollutants. 2. Condensation Nuclei Removal: • Process: Pollutants, especially fine particles, often serve as nuclei around which water vapor condenses to form raindrops or cloud droplets. • Once the droplets grow large enough, they fall as rain, carrying the particles with them. • Example: Sulfates, nitrates, and other aerosols are effectively captured this way. 3. Gaseous Pollutant Absorption: • Process: Some gases, like sulfur dioxide (SO₂) and nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), dissolve in raindrops, forming weak acids (e.g., sulfuric acid or nitric acid). • This contributes to acid rain, which removes the gases from the atmosphere but can damage ecosystems. 2. What Pollutants Are Removed? • Particulate Matter (PM): • Fine particles (PM2.5) and larger particles (PM10) including dust, smoke, and pollen. • Soluble Gases: • Sulfur dioxide (SO₂) and nitrogen oxides (NOₓ). • Organic Compounds: • Some volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can dissolve in raindrops. • Pollen and Biological Material: • Allergens like pollen grains are efficiently washed away. 3. Limitations of Rain Cleaning the Air: • Not Effective for Gases Like Carbon Monoxide (CO): • Insoluble gases, such as CO and methane (CH₄), are not easily absorbed by rain. • Temporary Effect: • Air pollution may rebuild quickly after the rain stops, especially in urban areas with heavy traffic and industrial activity. • Acid Rain Concerns: • Pollutants absorbed by rain may create acid rain, which can harm soil, water bodies, and vegetation. • Particle Size Matters: • Very fine particles (<0.1 microns) may remain suspended and not be captured effectively by raindrops. 4. Observations After Rain: • Cleaner Air and Fresher Smell: • After a heavy rain, the atmosphere often feels fresher due to the removal of dust and aerosols. • Reduced Visibility Hazards: • Haze caused by pollutants often disappears after rainfall. • Enhanced Plant Growth: • Dust-free leaves and dissolved nutrients can improve photosynthesis in plants. Conclusion: Rain is a natural cleanser for the air, effectively removing dust, pollen, and water-soluble pollutants. However, it’s not a perfect solution, as it cannot eliminate insoluble gases or ultrafine particles entirely. While rain temporarily improves air quality, persistent pollution sources may cause levels to rebound quickly.
  16. Interesting...the staggering strength of Einstein's theories comes from exactly the opposite......totally ignoring human perceptions and experiences and dealing solely with "known" facts......almost all his theories are based one fact......the speed of light is constant. He didn't even accept such basics as Euclidean geometry as being a given.
  17. You're 'ave in a tin barf.
  18. Bearing in mind all these speeds are relative to some other object or frame of reference....there is no absolute motion in Einsteinian mechanics as there is no absolute space.
  19. Unless it extends to infinity...???
