  1. Late breakfast fits in with my daily intermittent fasting 12-15 hrs, and half overnight. Same brekkie everyday, tasty, unless out of town. Or else it's a pastry w/coffee, or whatever the hotel is serving, if included. Rest of the day is usually not as healthy, although except for sweet tooth fix (pastry or ice cream), then fairly healthy diet. No cigs & alcohol is very rare.
  2. First meal (@ 1100-1200hrs) is cereal; corn flakes rolled oats raisins fz blueberries whole milk morning coffee (200ml), now (@ 0600-0800)
  3. Comma, periods & paragraphs make for easier reading, if you want people to even bother. I actually overuse punctuation (periods) and probably annoys some folks, but also found many can't seem to separate thoughts very good when reading. Not that it helps with some folks' reading comprehension.
  4. Unless they hold dual citizenship, they are Americans. And I just saw this ...
  5. Kind of liking where we are, and most changes in the past 20 years have been for the better, and why we are here. Guessing you're loving all the tourist returning ????
  6. I must have missed the Trump & right wing references, but how can any thread be on AN, if not mentioned. Geez people ...
  7. Best to find best doc, then go to where he/she has privileges at.
  8. Revisited 2014 thread ... a think a lot of folks haven't been back to TH in a long time. A lot has changed, and a lot didn't.
  9. The Barnes Foundation, being one of the best private art collections in the world. Philly Art Museum was Ok also. For a little city, it packed a lot in.
  10. I thought it was a great city, with great neighborhoods, with a couple exceptions. One of best food towns, entertainment & sports town. Just big enough, with easy access from where I grew up, walk a mere 0.2 miles away, and I could get to anywhere in the world (after the airport line was put in) 20 minute train ride to/from 'downtown' That's a bit rich for Jerseyites considering Trenton, Camden & Newark ???? Princeton & Lambertville were pretty cool, as I spent a lot of time there. Lived in Hightstown, when I worked at Newark airport. Philly, a steady downhill slide since 2008.
  11. I have a couple crowns (w/root canals) that are 30 yrs old. Implant option will always be there, if needed.
  12. Root canal, would be my choice, keep my teeth. Why take a fixable tooth out ? Along with (root canal & crown) at least half the cost of an implant. If you don't need the crown, even better.
  13. Thais, Yanks, Arabs, Indians, Chinese, Russians ... do AN members like any other nationality or race beside their own; UK or AU vocal members dominating AN. Really getting hard reading AN of late.
  14. I would think a lot of businesses that didn't own their building, simply had to close due to no customers to cover overhead. Especially those tourist driven that the locals really didn't support. Pretty much county wide. We were O&A quite a bit during 2020 & early 2021 and it was dismal, w/90% or more shuttered early on, though a couple ol' favorites were doing a brisk business, as never targeted the tourist industry, even on Phuket, surfside. Coastal Phuket & Krabi were ghost towns, except a couple surfside restaurants @ Kamala & Kata. Really strange seeing 7-11s, and USA fast food chains closed in tourist areas. When inland a bit, all was normal, sort of.
  15. As surely do non high profile convicts, but just don't get the news coverage. As not being divisive maybe ... IMHO
  16. As soon as it dips below 90%, we usually plug in, since using solar, especially during rainy season. Non rainy season, we'll let it go do to 70% ish, as knowing plenty of sunshine. With solar, you charge when you can, not when needed ???? Amazing how much solar produces, even when overcast. On our system anyway, 8kW inverter. 3 or 5kW inverter might not have as much excess, and better planning needed. If using grid, then irrelevant. Can do overnight. Charging at home is slow, so better for the battery, as doesn't heat up while charging. Even when we go O&A, we'll leave 100%, and return @ 20%, so that's about 500kms at slow charge. So about 25-35% of our O&A charging. Better for battery health.
  17. No, but they would be taken to the hospital, especially if they were covering the cost. Fake a heart attack, they have to/should take you to hospital, and even a ward bed would be better the a packed cell, not that Thaksin was in one. At his age, not much of a stretch that health issue will pop up the next 8 yrs (or 1st day ????), and should be tended to. No different worldwide. PA, USA has a federal prison the isn't even completely fenced in, and small cyclone/wire fence at that, in some parts. Many prison have 'elite' cells, why are people surprised or outraged. Tell your govt rep, stop crying.
  18. Ours, LFP chemistry, so they don't mind, and most are now LFP batteries being used, both lighter & cheaper for manufacturer, more cycles and rare fire risk for customer. If a rare fire, less toxic fumes, just try to avoid being BBQ'd ???? 85%-100% charges a bit slower, and why they always quote 30-80% ... as fast (30 ish minutes) & simple marketing. If we're done what ever, and depending how far going, we'll stop charging @ 85% or more, though rare and leave, or if someone pulls in and the other machine/cable isn't available and we're at or near 90%
  19. ICEV users have not problem waiting weelking to fill their tanks, but can't when on the road. 10 weeks X 10 mins, but can spare 30 minutes to be able to drive a couple more hours. A welcome break for me after 3 hrs No I don't, not required, and if solar, not overnight. My opinion differs obviously, as quite enjoy the added performance & savings. Fit perfectly in our lifestyle, and actually kms wise, 50-60% local, 40-50% O&A with the car, since everything is close to home, and E-MB is used a lot. Now the ZS has 15k+ kms on it, and 5k of those are O&A, with 2 more O&As planned within the 1st yr /~20k kms of ownership hits. So may actually hit 50% of kms O&A. Scooter does about 2-3k kms a year, all local.
  20. Don't know how you read all that into it, and most non diesel ICEVs don't give you more than 600 km range. And yet to get in/out of any petrol station is less than 10 minutes, when use ICEVs. Along with paying 2.5X the amount to 'top up' on the road, and almost 5X the amount charging at home if not having solar. Simple - EVs simply are not for people who can't charge at home, and are too impatient to charge on the road. All the rest you assume is inaccurate BS.
  21. To the title, hometown ruined - no, and quite the opposite. Gentrified, for a suburban town, although, that comes with higher taxes & govt telling you how to live. Must cut grass, what, when & how you live .... NO THANKS To the big Dem run city, Philly, PA, USA, it is a suburb or, that I loved to visit, weekly, is now over run w/homeless & crime is rampant. Or so I read & brothers tells me. Nobody bothers going into any more.
  22. As already pointed out probably, since not reading posts. People don't elect PM, the representative they voted for present 'valid' candidates to be chosen. Seems the system is working just fine.
