  1. Same in the US. It’s caught and thrown in the freezer on the boat. They’re not going to risk losing a catch due to a logistic failure.
  2. Well my hearing is messed up, but I do my best ????
  3. Fuji airport central, last year wild caught pacific. The other in ninnmam 4 years ago, I’ll try to remember where and get back to you.
  4. but I prefer American Indian style smoked salmon, like alder wood. So let’s import some red alder and get this thing moving????
  5. Because every time I’m served a tiny amount of food for a big price I say Nidnoy!
  6. I’ve see wild caught salmon only at a couple of places here, expensive and nidnoy, not worth it. So the farm stuff will do and good enough for me.
  7. I’ve noticed a lot of vehicles here don’t have dash vents for the windows
  8. It’s usually where the sushi joints purchase their salmon for sashimi. I eat it all the time and it doesn’t seem awful to me.
  9. Go to Makro for the fresh farm stuff and diy smoke it. One could probably rig up a clay mukata wood cooker. Finding proper US style stuff here can be a challenge unless it’s imported.
  10. Buy a vehicle with a factory heater. Otherwise forget about it. Propane stove or as another mentioned, get a sweater. Move to the beach? I like the cooler weather and adjust acclimate to the conditions and usually don’t start complaining until it gets above 40c
  11. Gaia GPS app works good for me. Good detail and not cluttered zoom. Download maps and save for offline use. For me, paper maps are antiquated artifacts of the past
  12. Maybe it’s been 10 years since he’s been here. Maybe those with messed up elementary grammar don’t know anything either ????
  13. Yes, makes for a more pleasant death
  14. Cash QR CC…to each their own. Why argue over something so menial since it’s a personal preference, I don’t get it and who cares about other personal preferences anyway? Back to the BigC cashier flipping through the password/passport thing?
  15. I’ve never been asked for id. I just slip my card in and go. If someone ever asks me in the future, then I’ll just show them my drivers license. And if someone gets fussy about it, we’ll then I’ll get fussy as well, as in “mai mai!” wave the card and split
  16. I’m glad he came back. It go’s to show how stupid criminals typically are.
  17. Makes for a less weedy forum and more centralized information
  18. Seems like it would be easier to fly to Kuala Lumpur for a night
  19. Global inflation began when the idiot’s in Washington decided to shut down energy production in the US. This started a chain of events globally. Any empirical thinker can ascertain and grasp what, why and how this mess started. Weakness in Washington inspired Russia to invade, inflation began before the invasion. Putin inspired by rising oil prices and weakness in Washington. All this mess would come to a halt if energy production resumed in the US. But no….so what do the freaking w0ket@rdz do? They run to other countries and beg for oil, countries that produces oil in an non-environmental friendly way. This is the upside down backwards digressive idiot policies that are supported by those who hired these scamming crooks that put these policies in place. Anyone that denies the facts are probably stuck and jammed up in a warped ideology and been formed by the propaganda of the media.
  20. It’s swirling all over the place, makes me dizzy looking at it…
  21. You plan on being here for 17 days, seems like a while without transportation. You really should consider renting a car or motorcycle to get around on independently, you’ll definitely have a better experience. There’s a lot of places outside of the city that’s not too far. But I understand that some don’t like driving.
  22. Yeah really, why would you want to come here? And what do you think you’ll do here? Did you think your Thai girlfriend might like to rent a car or motorcycle and go hang out at Mae Wang and eat lunch along the river and float down the river on bamboo rafts? Or did you thought you would come here and that she might like going to Mae On area and hanging out at Mae Kampong for a night or two? And Mon Jam, she’s Thai and I’m sure she’ll have a great time there doing the selfie thing with the flowers and all and even take a rip down the road on a wooden cart. I’m not much of a boozer so I can’t personally speak of the nightlife at the bars but my local Thai friends like hanging out at the Hom Bar, T Bar, Zoe and others I can’t think of right now. Plenty to do here, more fun and liberty if you rent your own transportation. But for the life of me, I don’t know why on earth you would choose to come to this awesome place ????
  23. Criminals are not victims. I think most criminals believe they’ve been victimized by the law, but it’s the victims that were victimized. For instance look at some of the crazy looney policies that some of the US local government’s and absurdly even some of the federal congress politicians, believe that’s it’s a good thing to let criminals loose on the streets and victimize the innocent. This criminal mindset is utterly barbaric and stupid. Law and order is what keeps civilization civil, it’s what keeps the peace. Those that try to rationalize and justify the criminally mindset of a certain group that is swinging out in the left field are in complete delusion. I don’t care if you’re a petty thief, drug dealer, cop or politician, you break the law you do the time to keep civilization civil and peace for the innocent. From this perspective, it appears those that support the criminal actions of criminals are criminals themselves.
  24. Mostly monsoonal troughs. The direction depends on where the trough band spurred from, variable west and south. A lot of the moisture crops up out of the atmosphere and drift in from where the wind is coming from. Though all weather ultimately travels west-east around the planet. I’m sure there’s a weather guru out there that can chime in and give a better take on it.
