Nice cherrypicking.. the same goes for any inflation-adjusted wages in any comparable country in the world, since Trumps paymaster, Putin, invaded Ukraine, sending the cost of energy sky-high, following a covid pandemic that severely disrupted the worlds supply-chains driving up the cost of nearly everything. It should also be mentioned that during this time, the US-economy has outperformed any other comparable economy in the world. Quite an achievement for the Biden administration.

If you listen to fox, newsmax and other rightwing propaganda-outlets, they love to criticise Biden, but there is very little of substance or even truth to their claims, and it mostly boils down to slander, lies and insults.. Meanwhile, in the realm of reality, we have consistently strong jobs growth, rising GDP, and markets at record highs. Here are some more facts; under Trump the economy lost 2.9 million jobs. The unemployment rate increased to 6.3%. illegal immigration increased. The murder rate rose to the highest level since 1997. the number of people lacking health insurance rose by 3 million. the federal debt held by the public went up, from $14.4 trillion to $21.6 trillion, and also under trump, his billionaire buddies increased their wealth by 1 trillion, while ordinary Americans' disposable income fell..

Since everything I wrote can be fact-checked and does indeed conform to reality, then either you do not have a firm grip on said reality, or maybe you just don't know what sarcasm means..?

Not pretending to be a saint in this department, but some tourists seem unaware that (the real) Thailand is in fact a quite conservative and traditional culture. If you get the urge then maybe try to do it out of sight and in a less public place..

If your guy is Trump, then your argument makes no sense at all. Trump frequently confuses Biden with Obama, and on one occasion even claimed that he was going to run against Obama in the upcoming election. He has also confused Jeb Bush with his brother George on occasions. And among several other confused claims he also stated that Orban was the prime minister of Turkey. On his campaign trail he is often confused about which state or town he's in. When it comes to competence, we can only look at Trumps criminal mismanagement of Covid, leading to hundred of thousands of unessecary deaths (chlorine anyone..?). Also him storing state secrets in his bathroom at Mar a Lago, does not speak well of his competence nor his judgement. And this is before we talk about him being a convicted fraud and sexual molester.. The US may deserve a younger and more energetic president than Biden, but in no conceivable way is an equally old and more confused Trump a better alternative.

Say what you will about Biden.. the Biden administration however, has done an excellent job, which is now reflected in strong jobs growth, rising GDP, and markets at record highs, stabilizing energy prices and managing to bring inflation back down again (a so called soft landing), countering putins vile aggression in Ukraine, trying to make the cost of energy unaffordable to the western world (and the rest of the world). A vote for Biden and his admin, is a vote for stability and continued growth as opposed to all the instability, insecurity and unpredictability that follows Trump..

You know what I'm gonna say next don't you? There is a plethora of areas and places outside of the seedy Nana-district, catering to all kinds of tastes and wallets, where you will never have any problems like that. Why not go there? And especially when bringing your gf/wife..The same goes for places like Phuket and Pattaya. Just don't go there...

Elkski, it has been a trend for quite some time now for desirable Thai ladies (highly educated, young, middle-class,childless and previously unmarried), to choose younger foreign/western guys. I am in such a relationship myself, and we got married last year (and marry her you must). Can't speak for all similar relationships, of course, but we have met nothing but acceptance and goodwill in Thailand, both from friends, family and strangers. It seems to help that we are comparable in age, looks, and also in income and social status. I believe the main motivation, for ladies like my wife, to marry a foreigner, is that they are happier with a guy with a modern mind and mindset, who treats them like an equal partner.

'Good guys in, bad guys out' is a motto of Thai immigration. 'Bad', in this context, being anyone (foreigner) not following the rule of law in Thailand, like operating a business without the proper permits, licences, visas etc.

Good grief, daily occurrences now on Phuket, it's like they have opened a can of worms down there.. Better blow up the bridge and patrol the waters until they have sorted this out.

Thailand has a window of opportunity now, after covid, to get rid of illegal businesses run by certain foreigners with low moral standards that came in after the pandemic, before too much time has passed and their roots have gotten too deep. I'm glad to see they are beginning to act on it. Good guys in, bad guys out.
