New rail service linking Bangkok and Vientiane kicking off soon
Des1 replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
So much of you say is nonsense. It's sad you even get a forum to promote such crap. The thing about travelling to a foreign country is accepting their rules. Don't like it? ..Stay home. -
If you don't like it Leave ! Root canal

Nice way to engage with us. You should have just said F**K You! I think you will find people here willing to help without insulting them right from the start. -
Blood pressure can be an issue. I had a similar situation a few years ago. When I sat up on the bed in the morning I felt a bit dizzy and sometimes when I reached for something high up I felt off balance. I'm 67 now and the first thing the doctor mentioned was blood pressure, hypertension. I'm ok now and it all went away. My blood pressure is good, not overweight. Just suggesting in may not be bad weather.

Right, is he planning to do some serious single track, or just cruise around walking trails? Nothing wrong with that but no need to spend a lot.

So, just read in the Bangkok Post " Thailand wants to become the artificial intelligence (AI) hub of South East Asia by 2027". Sure, why not. Just like they became a transportation hub, a vehicle manufacture hub, a wellness hub, etc. Hub seems to be a favourite word of the government, along with scheme, which makes me laugh because, in the west, that word implies a criminal act. I wish them luck. I really do.

How is 90 day reporting supposed to work?
Des1 replied to SunsetT's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I received my first one year extension on Dec 13, note in passport says my 90 day notification will be March 13 -
again, just to pass along my experience at CW obtaining my first non-imm O one year extension .. I thought my TM30 (and lease agreement) would be enough but a senior IO came to me and said I needed to provide the condo owner's House Registration and Land Title Deed. So I had to leave and return next day with the docs. Everyone has a different experience dealing with immigration it seems.

I downloaded the TM7 form and filled it in at home. When I got to CW they gave me a "new" version of the form to fill out. oiii. Funny thing is, I had my girlfriend fill in the address part in Thai, figuring they would appreciate that. I was lucky to have the address in english on some old insurance form I still had in my folder.

The reason I ask, it helps if you are clear about what you are doing, it's easier for us to reply. I just received my FIRST one year extension today for the non-imm O visa. My bank statement was for 3 months, which was accepted at CW, no problem. There is no need for a 12 or 6 month record, since you only need to show no more than 3 months at 800,000 bt, because you are applying before the 90 day expires. This is my experience as of today. I can answer any questions you have.

Excellent experience at CW this afternoon

I had a TM30. Maybe he was just annoyed about the expired ID card?? -
Excellent experience at CW this afternoon

So, just got home from CW. I was attempting to apply for my first Non-Imm O one year extension. I thought I had everything in order. Turns out the ID card of the condo owner was expired! Sheesh. The lease agreement was ok, it was an extension of my previous lease, so that was not an issue. The only copy I had of the owner's ID was from the first lease agreement. Then the senior IO told me I need to come back with the owner's new ID card AND House Registration and Land Title Deed. I have never read anything about that before as a requirement. Maybe it's because this is my FIRST extension application?? Anyway, not a fun time and this is my first experience at CW where the IO was rude and a real ****. Oh, and my taxi broke down heading back to the bts, left me on the road and I was lucky to flag down another one. I would really like to start this day over. On a positive note: I had an 8:30 a.m. appointment and needed to get my passbook updated beforehand. The Bangkok bank one floor down has an ATM PLUS a Passbook update machine outside their front door. Nice. -

finally, some common sense applied to this story, for those who actually want to take the time to read.
