It's so difficult to sesrch this site for a specific topic, so here I am with a re-entry stamp question.... I have a "retirement" visa and will be leaving the country for a couple of months. I plan to get the re-entry stamp at the airport. My flight is 7:30 a.m., when does the office at the airport open to issue the re-entry stamp?? Thank You!

I thought I saw a video posted of someone (her?) using a broom to move the camera angle. It may have been to spare her family seeing the actual suiside. I can understand her feelings. If I can prevent my lingering death, that is what I will do. I just hope she had all the proper paperwork done, even then, it will be a battle.

So much of a priority is placed on tourism right now (rich people preferred) because other areas of the economy are failing. Time to bring in casinos, easy cash. It speaks to the failure of the ruling class to actually consider a long term economic plan that will compete with neighbouring countries. Thialand wants to be the "hub" of pretty much anything you can imagine. Not going to happen. They will continue to import more and more chinese products and grind down thier own production. I'm here on a Non-Imm O "retierment" visa. I will leave the country the end of June. I'm not sure of my return date so I booked a one way ticket. I see on the T8 form I need to enter my return date .. actually it says "and shall return into Thailand about...". So apparenty no exact date needed. I am wondering how much leeway they will allow? If I miss my stated return date by two weeks or a month, will they void my visa? Has anyone here dealt with this before? Thanks! btw...I'm planning to get the permit at the airport.

It really is interesting to follow, a real life Thai soap opera. Is he another "Serpico"? Considering the nature of the RTP it's hard to believe he could acheive that rank without getting his hands dirty. This case could bring down some high ranking officers (maybe) so they want to take him out first. It makes me think of the Thai guy who "exposed" corruption on a regular basis. Turns out he was a memeber of a big extortion gang. Sheesh! Anyway, can hardly wait for the next episode.🙂
