  1. Seriously - that city is designed mainly by greedy British entrepreneurs and some greedy Spanish entrepreneurs as well to rip off British tourists (and the occasional Spanish tourist who may visit there)! It’s cold in winter, prices are artificially inflated way above what real estate there should be worth, and in the end it’s just like any other city in the area, nothing special. I guess the only good thing about Benidorm may be there’s lots of Brits, so it may be easier to be around your country people… but still, hardly worth it paying those astronomical prices…
  2. As a Spaniard myself I can confidently tell you Benidorm is the <deleted>tiest place in all of Spain, lol.
  3. Hell yeah, you will not lack power with an A200. Not to mention that Mercedes engines are so good you could tune your A200 to well over 200hp without much effort!
  4. If I am being overly sensitive, chances are you are being overly annoying. ????????‍♂️
  5. Lack of funds I guess… If you need to boast about how much you get, in ThaiVisa, then chances are you’re not getting any ????
  6. No, my friends S350 is in Europe, sadly not here in Thailand. So we've never had a drag race, lol. But yes, I've driven over 200kph when the conditions(road & weather) allow for it here in Thailand. Don Muang Tollway is quite expensive and so it is often empty. Without many curves, mostly straight line, that expressway is a dream. Not dangerous at all, you just gotta know when and where the conditions allow to safely do that. Don't be like those pick ups which pass you on the shoulder pushing 160 weaving through heavy traffic.
  7. I would have a second thought at that. The low end torque of diesels is impressive! (acceleration). I wish Merc would sell more diesel vehicles in Thailand. A friend of mine has got a S350 Bluetec Diesel, the V6 OM642 engine, tuned to 365 HP and an impressive 730Nm of torque!! For comparisons my Mercedes E63 AMG with the M156 V8 petrol engine, stock makes 622 HP and 650Nm of torque. Now, obviously my E63 is crazily fast and even when you floor it at 200kph, it just pulls no matter how high the speed. But my friends S350 diesel, when you floor it at low speeds, it pushes you towards your seat so violently it’s impressive!!! That’s what I love about diesel.
  8. Maybe it doesn’t matter to you, but as an engineer myself (albeit not related to cars). I value a lot those who came up with the idea and patented it. And discredit a lot the copycats that just make use of somebody’s else invention instead of at least trying to improve it. Had Mercedes not patented things like the Airbags or crumple zones, would Toyota, Honda, etc have done it? They seem to be focused on patenting R&D stuff while copying others Safety inventions. Crappy behavior if you ask me.
  9. Ok, let’s talk engineering. When the Japanese car industry started developing, people in the US hated them. Now they’re everywhere in the US. Back then Japanese cars were extremely unsafe, nowadays they’re fine. But one should not forget who patented the most important safety systems in cars: * Airbag 1981 - Mercedes-Benz * ABS 1978 - Mercedes-Benz * ESP (Traction Control) 1995 - Mercedes-Benz * Crumple Zones 1959 - Mercedes-Benz These are some of the most critical systemswhen it comes to safety, and they were all engineered and patented by Daimler AG(company which owns the Mercedes-Benz brand). Not by the Japanese. The Japanese just used to it to make their cars safer. Just copy cats.
  10. I guess if you were born in the Pleistocene that dash may not look good to you then. But it’s the fact that they have put many of the features only found in the ir executive sedan (S-Class) they have actually put them on their compact sedan (C-Class). No other brand does this, and indeed it’s the first time Mercedes does this.
  11. No point in talking to other farang. If a farang greets me, I may nod at most. But I generally prefer to ignore their existence. There’s 2 farangs at our condo, and upon ignoring their existence a couple of times, they too have learned to ignore my existence even when it’s both of us in the elevator! Wonderful! We all know the kind of farangs Thailand tends to attract, same kind which are plentiful on this forum (hence why this comment will be disliked). Anyway, it’s just not worth the hassle. Too busy with my own life and problems of my own as to run the risk of making friends with a sexpat, or similar sort of scum.
  12. I don’t lose cuz I’m not playing foolish games with you lol. Would you rather be unemployed or 6 feet under? We’re talking about deaths here, leave everything else aside.
  13. I couldn’t care less about why COVID deaths in the US are more than in the UK. And poverty in Thailand has absolutely nothing to do with COVID deaths, and the fact that Thailand has beat the US by far in the handling of the COVID pandemic. If your only counter arguments are that there’s a lot of poverty in Thailand, it’s laughable. Because that’s a very different thing that we can discuss on a different topic about poverty in Thailand ???? When people discuss about A, keep the discussion focused on A. Don’t bring B as an excuse for A when it’s totally unrelated. Specially provided the US is not the best example one can come up with when talking about poverty. Ask the Appalachians if you don’t believe me. ????
  14. Very nice tactic, discussing about one topic reply back with a very different one which has nothing to do with the original topic. High school level, really. Is this really the level of brainwashing among Americans? ????
  15. No matter what the facts are, you will always find excuses. Any country but the US lies ???? But the one with 883K deaths is the US itself.
  16. Not everything gets posted to the Interpol website as you can read in their own website's disclaimer; had you bothered to read it of course. There's only like 6 (or 8 ) IIRC red notices issued for Thai citizens public on Interpol's website, you really believe only 6 Thais are wanted at the moment? lol...
  17. Before calling nonsense the words others take time to write, you should better inform yourself so that you would avoid looking like a fool. You must not have heard that after an Immigration Officer in Isaan got replaced, dodgy volunteer visas are no more. Not a single agent across Thailand is doing them anymore. They say it's temporary. But it's been like this since November 2021 already.
  18. Yeah, then the way things are at the moment, you simply can't. Unless you fork out at least 500,000 THB for a Thailand Elite Visa, or find a company willing to hire you, or have $1,000,000 in assets so that you can apply for the 10 years visa.
  19. If your dream is living in Thailand, work hard for it, and someday you will make it here. Nothing beats the feeling of being wherever you want to be. And yes, I agree with you. Many people complain too much about Thailand for mere trivial matters.
  20. The new C-Class is the best value for money you can get on that sector. Provided that they have pretty much copied 1:1 the interior of the S-Class. It's amazing: When it comes to cars like A-Class or B-Class, if it's the cheapest models, those with the small displacement engines (A200, B200), I agree there may be better choices in some Japanese cars (even if the quality isn't as good, the japs may be better money for value). But then you have cars like the A35 AMG, A45 AMG, A45 AMG S 4 Matic. No jap car could even come close to those on performance: These babies have got close to 500hp, out of a 4 cylinder power unit, that's simply crazy! The level of engineering that has gone into that, and the price is on point too!
  21. I'm gonna save my words, and not tell you what you play with, because it appears to be substances that cause a significant amount of damage to the brain. As for the red notice, look below, Mr. Know It All!
