  1. Then you must live in another planet, lol. Mechanically you may often get away with it. But the paint job in most second hand cars in Thailand of certain age is mashed up together with the interior.
  2. 2001 E-Class that’s a W210 if I’m not wrong. Already a very different car to the late 80s W124 the other fella bought. The W210 will be riddled with electronic comfort features. Indeed, even nowadays it’s a great car. W124 was amazing back in its day, but it’s just too old nowadays to compete!
  3. Man, honestly, you bought a Mercedes from the 1980s secondhand and in Thailand where secondhand cars are known to be generally very badly taken care of and in poor shape!!! Did you really expect it to run without any issues at all?
  4. That’s looks more like an E-Class to me (W124). But regardless. If you compare an early 90s (probably late 80s actually) Mercedes with a 2021 Mazda 2. Then probably the Mazda will be better!! It’s like comparing an iPhone 3 with a brand new cheapish Samsung.
  5. Sometimes more than 10 times, my good friend. And let’s not even talk safety wise. I’m sure a 900kg Mazda 2 would do just fine against a 2 tons Ford F-150 or 2.5 tons Merc S-Class. Your life apparently is worth very little money to you!
  6. You can’t be serious! They’re different concepts of cars. Hence why the Mazda is thought for cheap Charlies to get around quickly and easily, and the S-Class belongs to the luxury/executive sector of cars. It’s like flying economy vs flying business.
  7. Then explain to me why he hasn’t been arrested yet. Or how did Jeffrey Epstein corrupt the justice for how long. You must live in Disney World…
  8. Yes, if you get quarantined, you must contact immigration to extend your stay.
  9. So now I’m supposed to believe some random fella in TVF over Forbes… You guys have no limit really ???? Jeffrey Epstein with far less money and power molded Justice for far longer and it worked great for him (until it didn’t, but that’s another matter). The Interpol Red Notice is there and it’s public, one can only wonder why Mr. Yoovidhya hasn’t been arrested, while staying in the West… How easy it is to bash Thailand, but let’s not forget he is in the west.
  10. Bs, you should only send THB through Wise for small amounts. I'd say 50,000 THB or so. Else send USD via SWIFT (no matter Wise or not). Let's see, on November 2nd 2020 I sent 10,000 USD from my Transferwise to my BKK (first transaction I managed to spot on my bank book). I paid 10,004.26 USD in Transferwise (including $4.26 SWIFT fee). According to the official exchange rate back then, 10,000 USD = 311,096.81 THB (0.32144) And I got instead 309,880.22 THB. Which means the exchange rate (+ fees) the Thai bank applied was 1,216.22 THB lower than the official exchange rate. Using Transferwise's THB didn't let me send 10,000 USD one time, I had to do 2x 5,000 USD. And each of the transactions had a 30 something USD fee. I would have paid almost double in fees!
  11. "Better to Remain Silent and Be Thought a Fool than to Speak and Remove All Doubt" https://www.forbes.com/profile/chalerm-yoovidhya/?sh=4f0372c773ef
  12. Utter bs, there is an Interpol Red Notice on his name, and so he should be arrested and returned to Thailand, but he hasn't! Several people even claim to have seen him in Abu Dhabi celebrating Max Verstappen's (stolen) championship! But he wasn't arrested, guess why!? With a net worth of over $24.5 billion in the family, they are extremely wealthy. Jeffrey Epstein was a nobody in comparison with only $577 million, and still managed to corrupt justice in the US for quite some time. You are the one dreaming here/
  13. No police force in the West wherever he is staying will dare to arrest him. He is too powerful and rich for that. He can corrupt anything, not just Thai authorities.
  14. How are you able to drive this car here? According to the many experts, it's impossible to find replacements for such cars here in Thailand ???????????? Not to mention that you're out there driving your 911 showing off your wealth, how dare you do that! ????
  15. Oh boy, you better take your cat to the vet whatever it takes. If that isn't treated, you can say goodbye to him. That looks like a simple ulcer which overtime has become pretty bad, probably because of the cat constant licking it. He needs medical treatment ASAP, probably he is suffering a lot.
  16. I highly doubt the vast majority of Thais who own a Mercedes live in your village.
  17. Indeed, some people get so jealous when you defend Mercedes, that they need to start boasting about their golf, pmsl. Worth mentioning also that the majority of Mercedes models are pretty affordable and hardly more expensive than the Toyotas they love so much. Yet one still has to put up with them calling you "forum millionaire", lmao. People here think Mercedes = showing off. Jealousy at it's best.
  18. I did, but chargebacks still take 3 months or so. And upon opening a chargeback you risk being blacklisted by the airline.
  19. I highly doubt this is true. They will provide emergency care without any questions being asked even if you’re not British. BUT afterwards they will either bill it to your country (within the EU) or bill it to yourself, if you haven’t paid tax in the UK. Fair enough, it’s “free” and the quality of the medical care you get is great, except a few quirks. But I believe it costs too much for what you actually get. It’s just a very expensive insurance offering very little in terms of comfort and “being close the patient”.
  20. I’m not a Brit and I have no idea how the NHS works. But I’m willing to bet it’s far from free; probably you and your employer pay for it every month!
  21. BS. Every single time I arrive at a red light, I pull my phone out and start reading messages / replying. Nothing dangerous.
