    I quit cold turkey several years ago and after a month I started to experience some anxiety and insomnia. However, the last time I quit cold turkey without any symptoms at all. I think the difference was that I had lost a lot of weight and I was exercising regularly.

    I stayed at Sylvan once and wouldn’t book there again, better places for the money. Have also stayed at Santhiya Tree resort (shuttle is 4 times per day, or it’s a 20 minute walk to the main road), Dewa, Aana (which is up the river), Gajapuri, Chill (expensive, but have rooms with direct pool access), Awa, KC Grande, Emerald Cove, Mercury, Katcha, Chang Buri Resort, among others.

    I bought a used Porsche 944 in 1989. Officially, the model year 1983 1/2, and it also broke down all the time, but I only paid $10,900 for it. However, I’ve seen exotic facsimile cars in Bangkok (like a Ford Mustang Shelby) that looked remarkably like the real thing.

    If you do a 90 day report at your previous residence after your new landlord submitted a TM30, you’ll have to do another TM30 before they’ll accept a 90 day report at the new residence (posting from experience at Changwattana immigration).

    I lived in View Talay 6 for two years, 26th floor on the Walking Street side. The condo was beautifully furnished, rent was 24K. I left because the landlord wanted to raise it to 30K. That was 10 years ago.

    I’ve had a couple of these. You need the visa before you can get the work permit. In one case I had to threaten to walk to get the work permit, which had been promised in the job interview. In the other case I did walk. Both employers were farang.
