  1. Trump delays EU tariffs until July 9, European markets rally Trump extends trade deal deadline for EU after ‘good call’ with commission leader take a deep breath, not all is gloom and doom. patience is key.
  2. That would make a nice shirt!
  3. Mike, your constant obsession with Trump is very unhealthy. Stick with your complaints regarding high tariffs on imported wine.
  4. Thank you for your well thought out response and I can agree with this assessment.
  5. we have many posters on this forum who despised Trump so much that any chance they get to discredit him regardless of topic, they do it without any hesitation. like we said, he's living rent free in their head.
  6. He must of missed his hair salon appointment. Prayut never missed his's. 🤣
  7. stocks are going up, tariffs stabilizing, and US inflation is trending down yet the greenback is weaken against the mighty baht! 🤣🤣🤣
  8. Since Thailand is so infatuated with their Chinese neighbors these last few years, you read and hear about Chinese criminal activities in the news as much as you do with the local Thai.
  9. Hence the low quality tourists flooding Thailand
  10. good god, give it a rest! I think TAT would commit suicide if the magic number of 40 million tourists are not achieved by year's end.
  11. If we are being real, Thailand is safer for for foreign women than it is for Thai women. Most of the stories of abuse and violence regarding women are usually Thai on Thai.
  12. wearing socks in the temples can be tricky. but the guy assisting him didn't him any favors by not gaining better control down the stairs.
  13. she looks a lot older than 21. she started working for a major airline at a very young age and now no longer employed with them. something doesn't add up.
  14. I mentioned in another post that the most likely returnees to Thailand these days are the mongers and European snow birds. Thailand has been the hub of cheap shopping for a long time so they will continued to draw nearby Asian neighbors who make frequent shopping runs. Thailand is now facing stiff competition from Viet Nam. Malaysia and Japan. Those countries are mainly getting tourists that are back packers, single travelers, family and couples with money. They are not getting the overstayed Russians or visa free low budget Indians along with the African scammers and prostitutes. Ask yourself, why you don't really hear anything negative regarding the tourism sector in those countries?? Cambodia and Philippines are also benefitting from Thailand's downturn.
  15. I will reiterated again, any bad news related to Thaksin, you can bet your last baht, nothing will ever happen to him!!
  16. the reviews are excellent for most of the local brand. strangely enough, Bia Hoi ( fresh beer), a type of draught beer is very popular and very cheap. Bia hơi - Wikipedia the cost of craft beer ranges from under $2 to $4. in the markets, its even cheaper. anywhere from .40 cent to $1.
  17. Throughout Viet Nam, from Ha Noi to Da Nang and all the way down south Sai Gon, each city has their own craft brands with all unique and distinctive craft taste.
  18. Viet Nam is leaving Thailand in the dust in the craft beer industry and the gap is getting wider by the day.
  19. The irony in your reply is that you accuse me of being a pedant, but you went out of your way to nitpick my post. So rather than have a fruitful discussion on the racial makeup of Thai people, you decided the easy route with a jibe.
  20. the return rate for LOS is higher due to all the males going back for cheap sex and all the tourists from mainly 3rd world countries for the knock offs. I'll add the snow birds from Europe on that list as well. Viet Nam is better off in the long run without the mass, over tourism that has plague Thailand and all with it the pitfalls that come with it.
  21. my Thai wife eats more Viet food these days than Thai. if she's craving for her native cuisine, she makes it at home. her complaint on Thai restaurants is they don't have the authentic flavoring she's accustomed to which I understand since ingredients are not exactly the same as back home.
  22. Not starting an argument, but no Thai is pure. They have either Lao (Northern Thailand) Malay (Southern Thailand), Khmer (southeast Thailand) or Chinese (Central/ Bangkok) mixed with Tai/ Kadai (Northern Viet Nam and Southern China)) admixture. And if she's from Buri Ram, she most likely has Khmer blood too. My Thai wife is Thai from her mother side and Lao and Chinese from her father side.
