  1. yes, you need to confirm that insurance will cover pissed tourists on motorbikes. i find this hard to believe.
  2. and to cover pissed tourists too, really?
  3. i understand that, but does the compulsory insurance cover pissed tourists, i highly doubt it....
  4. but void if dunk, right? or if no valid license?
  5. Sorry, for clarity i was talking about Thais that leave the scene of RTAs, normally tourists do not flee.
  6. All valid points Richard. As i'm sure you're aware most of the 'altercations' ( if that's what you wish to call them ) happens with tourists, many times dunk. It's seldom that 'long timers' ( if that's what you wish to call them ) experience anything like this. In my time here i could count on one hand the amount of times i've see 'altercations', it's not that common. NB!! support will continue.
  7. No, Ans: coz most of them don't have license / tax / insurance or they're under the influence ( drunk ). Only the guilty flee the scene. Apart from that comment you've pretty much got the rest figured out, as per normal when RTA are mentioned, good job.
  8. You sound angry, should get on the weed to chill out, it's available everywhere here in Thailand now....
  9. I've lived here for 24 years and never felt the need for any sort of security system as being mentioned here. To the OP, is there a reason for this? Lots of break ins where you live, previous bad experience or....
  10. You're gonna get a copy? lol
  11. Yes, if you live a flight away from BKK makes sense to use and agent. 12K i think is very reasonable as the passport itself is £125 i think. Agent also makes all the payments etc, too easy!
  12. Do you think people will not come to Thailand on what often is, a holiday of a life time, due to this departure tax? really.... As others have alluded to, it's likely to be hidden in the ticket cost.
  13. There's no such thing as counterfeit alcohol - lol. What little you know....
  14. when you were drinking alcohol as a teenage were you drinking 1/2 pints / bottles?
  15. You sound like you'd have been a barrel of fun at 18.......
  16. I'm merely making the point she was 18 and out on an adventure of a lifetime, i'd imagine all her mates took the same drugs without issues. you know drugs are bad quality before taking do you? Impressive.
  17. Nope - i was throwing anything down my neck anyone was giving me. I've enjoyed recreational drug use all throughout my adult life ( in moderation ). This is a extremely rare and sad occurence.
  18. This might have been her first time using drugs, FMP is for many..... Or are you suggesting her parents were aware of her ecstasy consumption?
  19. Pardon me, my point is the % of deaths vs use at these parties is neglegible.
