All 40 Palang Pracharath MPs Including Prawit To Vote Srettha For PM
NanLaew replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I thought the most important contributor to becoeing Thai PM was getting the Senators onside, not the lower house. So he gets 40 MP's. How does that affect the total numbers in any meaningful way? -

Thai Post wrong delivery - they don't cooperate to find my parcel
NanLaew replied to teriyaki's topic in General Topics
The hiring practises of provincial and rural post offices has been the stuff of legend for at least as long as I have darkened these shores. Not sure if a PO Box is a solution for anything else but letter or small parcel mail. Plenty of shippers refuse to ship to a PO Box but once again, non-standard 'arrangements' have been made out in Bahn Nawk as the chance is the postman (if reliable) knows the address of the PO Box holder and will go the extra mile. You hatrdly ever hear of those feel good stories on this forum though. -
Thai Post wrong delivery - they don't cooperate to find my parcel
NanLaew replied to teriyaki's topic in General Topics
What evidence do you have to suggest he stole it or planned on keeping it for himself? He obviously did deliver it to the wrong address and ultimately did what he was prodded to do; find it and redeliver. Maybe you subscribe to the notion that all Thai's are dishonest and untrustworthy or they don't like us here? Yes, they are lazy and indolent and some are thieving opportunists but maybe having a farang who can't commincate properly goes a long way towards poor customer service (and online ranting) here? Anyway, looking at the time stamps on the OP's posts, his parcel went missing on Saturday afternoon but turned up a couple of hours later? Or maybe it was a few days later but he only decided to tell us all about it last Saturday? -
All good choices IMHO. Ours has been through three house moves and has needed attention from the moobahn appliance man maybe three or four times for drainage problems. Usually someone has been overfilling the detergent and after a year or so, the pipes get narrowed and once or twice it's becsause nobody has bothered to clean the filters. They have something like a 10-year warranty on the motor but moobahn appliance man says he's never had to change one. They usually rust out or have other issues first, like your existing one. For info, our new main machine is a 14 kg Haier cold wash top loader that I got from Makro for 8000 baht about 6 months ago. Bought that as a money-saver as the bulk of the family wash does not need heating. Those front loaders that heat the water use electricity and we know how that's gone through the roof this year. Sure the Siemens has a temperature selector but 'old habits die hard' with some of the users at my place.

If it had separate hot and cold fill, it doesn't (never had) a heater installed and the trick is to connect the hot inlet to a heated water supply (and the cold inlet to a cold water supply). The key here is the word 'fill'. I bought a US- style Whirlpool top loader about 16 years ago. Still works and that is out the back of the house for floor mats, dog blankets, work clothes and the like. It has separate hot and cold inlets with the former plumbed to the Ariston hot water heater in the kitchen. Otherwise it would be a cold/cold washing machine like you bought.

Cold wash and hang in the sun works for you but Mrs NL would beg to differ. Especially in the rainy season.

The owner would probably be pleased to see a new Siemens front loader.? There's a 7 kg model for about 15k baht on lazada. That's the latest version of the one we have that was around 10k baht new maybe 7 years ago. Still going strong and big enough for a 4-piece family. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/siemens-wm08e261th-i976212452-s2094656971.html To answer the question about water temp from another member, the 90 degree option is great and more hygeinic for towels and bed linens and not just for heavily soiled stuff.

What should I do if I no longer find my wife attractive?
NanLaew replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
If your continued marital status is the foundation of your legal right to stay in Thailand long-term and post endless inanities here, then you should do the right thing, up your game and flaunt your extra-marital dalliances to the fullest. -
Wissanu asks Thaksin not to return on weekends or public holidays

However, he was democraticaly elected and the court was under the control of the usual influence peddlers. -
Many do !!! 555 The car you drive seems to show your status!!! A black Morphy Richards 6-slice Automatic pop-up with rapid defrost option (red plates) It originally was a 4-slice import but I know a chap down Rayong way who's a beast with a torch and Bondo.

Looks like most who voted are (still) tuna fanboys. It must be discouraging to be forced to drive what she likes. Soul destroying even but then again, it is hers isn't it?

American Indians don't apparently. They just wander off and expire quietly and let the criturs and elements turn the bits they don't need any more to dust while the spirit moves on. That's the way I would like to shuffle off this mortal coil but chances are some nosey buggar will stumble across my decaying remains in a pineapple plantation in Huayyai and loads of idiots on here will speculate on another gangland topping or an angry Thai wife insurance killing.* So, it's back to the balcony then... and quickly too before the OP comes back. * She's not angry, honest.

No, not others. Just you.

Whilst the adherents of Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism of every other nation on earth are 101% all-knowing and compliant? I see.

Can you sleep on the step outside a 7-eleven enjoying the aircon blasting thorugh the sliding door? When you can do that withiout being kicked, then you've attained your rightful place in Thai society.

They probably respect the tourists. It's just these long-time, low-budget or broke-assed farang squatters, digital pikeys and pension refugees without the proverbial pot who they're rightfully dismissive of.
