Immigration says “fast-track service at Bangkok airports” are fakes
NanLaew replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thai Elite maybe The gold/bronze Thai Elite ones were parked up, charging. These white ones with blue-uniformed female operators were NOT Thai Elite. I recall one's signage may have been something like "A-Plus" ? Found it! https://web.facebook.com/aplusclassthailand/ -
@NanLaew I don't understand I thought there was only 1 Royal Mail redirection service? I apologise for the confusion. I have used mail forwarding and redirection in other countries, and some differentiate between (temporary) forwarding and (permanent) redirection. For the UK's Royal Mail service, it is ALL called redirection. Once again, my apologies.

Well it is almost one year on and I find that the BBC iPlayer's relentless VPN hunters have blocked PureVPN's London and Manchester servers. I did the ritual cookie cleaning to no avail, so went ahead and deleted their auto-renew from my PayPal account. Now looking for a working alternative. I had great success with Proton while offshore Indonesia on a glacial satellite link via Hong Kong. This was firewalled and proxied up the ying-yang due to the Chinese government's restriction on internet access (the vessel was Chinese owned and operated). I only needed Proton's free VPN's via Japan or Netherlands to keep Outlook and Chrome working so I don't know if their paid subscription UK servers are already blocked by BBC iPlayer. If anyone has a paid Proton account and can confirm BBC iPlayer access, that would be appreciated. Good to know that NordVPN allows BBC iPlayer access. It was on my short-list last year until PureVPN made me an offer that I couldn't refuse. Of course, information on any others that are tried and tested and work with BBC's iPlayer will be great.

Ah, so those golf carts from two different companies that I observed whisking passengers from their international arrival gates to immigration yesterday are fakes and don't exist. I see.- 84 replies

6 month multiple entry tourist visa options
NanLaew replied to qwab32's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Every day, Thai immigration officers at international airports and certain land borders help hundreds of foreign tourists discover that they are not "truly" a Tourist and probably haven't been for years already. The tax law was already approved decades ago. It's being applied now. -
Absolute poverty: UK sees biggest rise for 30 years

We are currently adding a 3-bedroom annex on the back of the property that will need power. The layout below shows in green and solid lines what is already in place and red and dashed lines what is proposed. My first question is will we need to upgrade our current single-phase 15(45)A electrical service that serves the green bits to 30(100) A to support the new red bits? What size wire from the main wall mounted breaker box, via conduit along the wall and up pole #2 (about 20 m) and wire-in-air to pole #3 to the annex (about 25 m)? I will be using Schneider CU and fittings for the annex, same as I used for the office/workshop (man cave). What size should the main breaker/RCBO be for the annex? I plan on each room having its own 10A (lights), 16A (outlets) and 20A (aircon) service. What size/type breaker for the 3200 W hot water shower units? PS: (Non-electrical) we have already upgraded the water pump system, so that should manage to feed the 3 new bathrooms. Thanks in advance.

No disagreement from me on that count but it looks like an enduring quality issue. "The quality of those seeking to govern is diminishing; that in turn breeds disrespect for politicians, which makes the job less appealing than ever." https://news.sky.com/story/adam-boulton-quitter-politicians-an-impossible-job-or-the-wrong-people-at-the-wrong-time-13099373
