    Udom Patpongpanich(?) was the head of the family in the 80s. His daughter inherited and managed the Patpong properties. Udom was one of the first investors/buyers in the late sixties and the 70s in a fishing village in Chonburi now known as Pattaya.

    Safari was hot. They used to lock the front door so the girls could tune up rude, abusive and drunken customers before they were dumped outside. Patpong went downhill when it was turned into a street market.

    Mt Kailash was a challenge in early May. A few Indians die doing the khorwas/circumambulation every season. They rarely make any effort to acclimatize. The article states there was an accident which could have increased the difficulty to get the ladies to lower altitude and to treat them.

    The article mentions an accident. Were the ladies injured while suffering altitude related illness which would have complicated getting to lower altitude or a rescue attempt. Condolences to their families.

    Bangkok Christian Hospital worked for a friend who was on his 3rd umbilical hernia op w/mesh. There were complications due to his being overweight which caused blood loss and his surgery took about 3 hours. With recovery time in the hospital cost about $8k about 10 years ago.
