Helpful kitchen tips!!
Stale or soft bread? Too tight/can't be a##ed to get a fresh one until tomorrow? Rub a little bit of water over the crust and shove it in a hot oven for 5-10 minutes. Perfectly edible and crusty.

Helpful kitchen tips!!
For good poached eggs (which sometimes can be difficult to achieve) I put the un-cracked egg into the hot boiling water first for 15-30 seconds. It ever so slightly, but not noticeably visible, sets the white. Then crack it and put it into the water in the usual way, Gives a good, round poached egg. Some people swirl the water first, some put in a teaspoon of vinegar.

I use one of these to cover the pan when frying sausages etc. Whilst avoiding getting hot fat splatter on my naked torso it also much reduces the area that needs wiping down after (the hob that is, not my naked torso).

Wear swimming goggles when chopping a potent onion. You may look a bit of a knob, but no more crying.

Managing forum toxicity and negativity
Or you could open a new thread regarding the topic you are discussing. It's not often I agree with BN but I do in this instance. This topic is about managing forum toxicity, not US politics. I'm not having a pop, I usually enjoy your posts but in this case they are way off topic.

90 day visa for over 50’s U.K. citizen
Hannon - If you know that you definitely won't be staying for longer than 90 days then SETV (single entry tourist visa) via the online Thailand Embassy London website may be your best bet. This will allow you initial 60 day stay with 30 day extension available via the immigration office where you are located. No harsh financial requirements. You may experience a few confusing questions (online) to apply for this which are not relevant. If confused, message back to this thread and many people will give you the correct answers. If this is not the best advice, other posters will be along to push you in the right direction.

There’s nothing quite like a Breakfast Beer.
Wise words indeed. You could do yourself a mischief. I'm having an afternoon in the bar with a few beers. By way of precaution I've had a "warm up" can of Singha at home to ensure I do not encounter such problems.

Carabao-Red Sun hops into the ring to challenge Thai beer titans Singha and Chang
Don't keep us waiting, what does it taste like? I know it's still early but you need to take one for the team and crack it open! 555

I thought it was compulsory, if not the law, to be a heavy drinker in Scotland?

Lost in Translation: Your Funniest Misunderstandings with Thai Language
There is a soi in Lamai on Samui commonly known as Soi Kee Ma. It's a strip of bars. Before it was paved you had to hop down it foot to foot dodging the dog $#it. I used to look like I was doing some weird tribal dance. Also made checking out the bars/ladies quite difficult as it was constantly eyes on the ground.

I do hope not. I think that is the time he is planning on "going for a jump".

That will never happen. They both thrive off of antagonising each other. Pretty much ruins every thread though.

Lost in Translation: Your Funniest Misunderstandings with Thai Language
When I first came to Thailand late 90's mobile phones weren't that common. I got friendly with an Italian restaurant owner and his wife had a telephone which you could use to phone home for a fee. She was a rather large lady and her name was Mo but I spent the first week calling her moo. At the time I didn't know this was the Thai word for pig.

Wow, that's got to hurt. The little fella looks quite coy about it.

Do you find women boring after a while?
You girls normally wait until around 5pm before you start bickering....

Take a bow Glenn Maxwell
A truly amazing innings and that's from a Pom! Can't see anyone beating India though in their own backyard although the Aussies are looking good after a poor start. I'm dreading keeping an eye on the England v Netherlands game later this afternoon....

I don't think he was having a pop at you to be honest. From his previous posts he's not that sort of chap. Very pleasant in general. I think it was a comment aimed at others. He may well prove me wrong with a response but I think he was just responding regarding the 500 baht.

Having SEXUAL INTERCOURSE with NOAM CHOMSKY: If YOU were a Girl?
I absolutely love your passion for things which are largely, beyond my comprehension. I do not consider myself a simple soul but each man has different passions and interests. I hope you have a wonderful time during your new life in Japan. Don't stay away from AN for too long. Keep us all both educated and entertained.
