Immigration Bureau: Foreigners considerably Arrive in the Country
Baron Samedi replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
You gotta give credit to Thai people for their resilience. They seem to be back in business as Europe gets ready for a nice testicles freeze for the winter... -

I agree. Thailand's bar prices have become ridiculous. A beer costs as much as a McChicken set. A lady drink costs as much as a month of 5G mobile internet. A BF costs as much as a VIP bus from Hua Hin to Phuket. For more than that, it will cost you as much as an AirAsia ticket to Singapore ( or even further). I mean come on... ???????? Cambodia seems to be dirt cheap in comparison ! However I wouldn't be surprised if Siem Reap was facing the same problem as many Thai cities, namely a lack of tourists leading to a feeling of emptiness. -
He did. I gave him the name of the different cities, he asked me why Isaan, then he suggested Chiang Mai as he went there and liked it. Honestly, I think a lot of Thais might think Isaan is a shxthole and don't understand why anyone would want to spend time there. I might be wrong be each time that happened to me I had the feeling the message was "what the fxxx, man... lol" The taxi driver was from Phuket. Born in the cape Panwa area. Fair point.

Every time I tell a Thai person I'm planning to go visit a couple of cities in Isaan, they start to giggle. Why do they do that? ???? Happened to me again today in my taxi back from the beach. Told the guy I was headed to Hat Yai next, then Malaysia and then back to Thailand to visit Isaan. He started to giggle... ????

Lets say you found a bag or wallet
Baron Samedi replied to Sparktrader's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Yeah sure. Find me an article that states that a farang was arrested without proof for bringing back a wallet to its Thai owner. Thx -
Lets say you found a bag or wallet

I care roughly as much about you strongly advising no interference as you care about me not trusting the police. My first move would be to try and contact the owner directly. Police would be the very last option I consider. Period. People losing stuff and getting called by those finding that stuff is something that happens everyday in every civilized country in the world including Thailand. Happened to me 6 months ago in Europe. Received an Amazon order that wasn't mine, looked up the person on the internet, couldn't find her but succeeded in finding a relative. Got in touch. Eventually gave the parcel back to its owner (it was a neighbor). Happy ending ! * As for me being derogatory... It probably as true as you being patronizing. *No, not that happy ending... -
No.

Lets say you found a bag or wallet
Baron Samedi replied to Sparktrader's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
@Sparktrader wrote that the hypothetical wallet contains 50000THB. His thought experiment implies that you opened the wallet at some point. So you might as well try and find information about the owner and contact that person if possible. Plus I don't trust the RTP, never have, never will. Too many thugs in their ranks. -
I'm so tempted to crack open a beer right now...
Baron Samedi replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
The way you're doing it won't work. It has been studied many times over. You shouldn't torture yourself psychologically to lose weight. Reduce the amount of stuff you eat/drink but allow yourself some pleasure. Drink half a beer instead of one. Keep the other half for later instead of having another beer. Reduce the size of your meals a bit. AND !!! Move your body. Go for a walk every day. Get sweaty and tired ???? Give it a month or two and you will see the results. No need to inflict high levels of frustration on yourself. Counterproductive in the long run. -
I wouldn't stop and pick it up. Who knows what could be inside ? Drugs, dirty money, human remains, snakes, dead puppies, weapons, explosives... ????????????

So weird ???? Same moral dilemma kinda thing...

What is the biggest mistake in life ?
Baron Samedi replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
True. But it's a life worth living. I couldn't be a married wagecuck with an obsession for consumption. I'd rather kill myself ???? -
Lets say you found a bag or wallet
Baron Samedi replied to Sparktrader's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I'd keep it and have a look inside for information about the owner. Then I'd contact the owner to sort things out with him/her directly. Wouldn't give the wallet to a taxi driver or to the Thai police. No way ????- 67 replies
