What if they are not fat old men and the younger woman is genuinely attracted to them? Would it be bad then? If I am 40 and I meet a girl of 20 who appears to like me, would that offend your sensibilities? I am not writing specifically about Thailand. Should anyone care about what you think? Why not just enjoy your relationship while it lasts, rather than looking at other people and making yourself sad looking at them? It would be different if you could offer these girls an alternate path; but it just seems more useless moralising.

What is a ‘normal’ adult male? We know that there are differences in mental age and emotional intelligence. In my case, I had a friend visiting who was interested in meeting girls here. Since I am not interested in P4P, I just left him to it. My birthday was coming up and I would have appreciated my friend spending some time with me on that day. He had another idea, a double date for my birthday; Cinema and meal. His treat was to pay for my companion, as he knew that I would not ever do such a thing myself. The point of the story is that it’s not necessarily the case that people are looking for young girls, they might just choose the someone most attractive to their eye. In my case, I discussed it with the girl and explained that nothing could ever happen with us, but I couldn’t tell her that I knew about her age, as that would have caused conflict with the girl who told me. We remained firm friends for very many years until we lost touch. Even when she was home and pregnant we still communicated. My observation was that it’s not as cut and dried as you might imagine. I understand your feelings after the episode within your family. This girl was already in the bar scene and willing to have sex with men for money. I see it as the lesser of two evils for her to just sleep with one man and to perhaps build something together. I didn’t want to be that man, as I wanted something different for myself, but when I saw there was someone trying to have an exclusive long term relationship with her, I didn’t discourage it as it solved the issue of her having to sleep around for an income. If he is willing to take responsibility for her, then it’s better than the alternative. Of course we are not talking about normal eight year olds as in your case or teenagers here. So that is my experience and why I don’t expressly criticise OMF, as at least he is facilitating a more stable present and future for the girl. Not necessarily exploitation. Seventeen years of age is within ‘legal’ and moral boundaries in likely any jurisdiction you can name. He is not holding nor coercing her against her will as far as we know. So what exactly is your objection? You are upset that a late teenager chooses to have an older partner and vice versa? Happens all over the world in varied guises. Might not be your nor my first choice, but we aren’t all the same. I know women in their thirties who have the emotional maturity of a three year old. Conversely meet women in their early twenties who seem like wise men in comparison.

Not at all. I was there just a day or two ago for a 90 day report. Received my passport back in ten to fifteen minutes, if that. Didn’t go early nor have to queue for more than a couple of minutes in order to hand my passport in. Yes, there are quite a few obnoxious characters who work there(in particular one or two of the helpers and volunteers) but I make a point of being nice to them, regardless of how disgustingly obnoxious they might be. Defeating the purpose? What is the purpose? I think the purpose is to remove some of the more harmful effects. If there is 50% less tar etc and 10% less THC, that wouldn’t be “defeating the purpose”. My opinion was that they both seem like ‘wrong ‘uns’. You seemed to take exception to that. I further pointed out to you that she was accused of stealing. I don’t know what most guys would think, but I would choose someone who I actually like and who likes me. I was in a similar situation to you. Seventeen year old who modified her ID card to show she was twenty five. I didn’t meet her in a bar. In fact she saw me and followed the songthaew in which I was sitting. The one Thai girl who managed to inveigle herself into my life, told people that I used to hit her. I have no idea as to why she would do that, as not only did we not have an argument, but there was no money exchanging hands. I only knew about it when someone started rolling up their sleeves and walking towards me. She quickly got in between. Later he told me what she had been saying. Likely she got herself into a situation and then lied to the people around her.

Perhaps lie to her husband. It seems a bit far-fetched that someone would get riled up enough to travel there and stab someone to death over not LENDING an employee money, unless the wife gave him a story that put the Australian in a terrible light.

How are you posting here? Looking at a ‘stupid computer/phone’? Better you look to your own lives rather than to judge others by your ‘standard’.

Don’t want? Methinks you don’t have anyone interested in what you are doing. My friends and family are always interested in sharing. For instance, one of my friends had a dog who died on old age. You aren’t getting it… You fill the whole thing with snow/crushed ice. That will also have the effect of any water in the base being freezing cold. Try it and then compare with just water in the base. I’m not a smoker either, but I tried it and am recommending it to you. But as usual….

Same here… a ridiculously high price. I guess around 160 grams drained weight. Better to buy pitted Chalkidiki olives at 230 baht for 320 grams and to use the jalapeño you buy anyway, to stuff them yourself. Then drop back into the jar. Use gloves, in case you are sharing ????
