  1. I knew there was something not quite right with you. Anyone who doesn’t like a good Khao Niew Ma Muang is quite possibly a rum sort..😊
  2. Just addressing the SATA mode thing. The laptop is likely set to AHCI RAID mode. If you are have issues and just want to run on AHCI SATA mode, you don’t need to touch the Registry. You can do it via msconfig. Under Boot you can select Safe boot and choose Minimal. You also mentioned Linux. For that, you might need to reveal the hidden menu within the BIOS main menu by pressing Ctrl+S(I think). Intel VMD is the setting you need to toggle there.
  3. Happy that it’s all sorted. Obviously the motherboard issue is not something we discussed. From here we are working blind, so rely on being given accurate information and for any guidance to be followed exactingly. Nothing personal ever involved. All new devices utilise UEFI. But I’m not sure what that has to do with anything, as the only thing I was looking at the time was the failure to upgrade Home Single Language. This I know is a straightforward task and I couldn’t understand why it was failing for you. You seemed to be writing about so many different things in one thread, including Linux and switching to AHCI. It was terribly confusing trying to find out exactly what it was that you were trying to achieve. There was the upgrade. There was cloning in so you could have the same system. There was mention of Samsung Magician software and therefore a failure to apply firmware updates to the SSD. So I’m not surprised that you gave up with your head spinning. Too many things. Notwithstanding, I’m glad it’s all sort and you can relax and enjoy your time 😊
  4. Excuse me, but are you VERY old? Are you still in control of all of your faculties? You seem not to be able to grasp even the most simple concept. It’s as if you are stuck in the past and cannot move forward. Buying and smoking flowers is 100% legal within certain parameters of age etc What you misunderstand is that there was criticism of RECREATIONAL usage. Therefore he made statements of wanting to ‘discourage’ recreational usage. But there is no actual law against it. Now really, if you are an intelligent person, you’ll be able to trawl the Internet and come up with an actual gazetted law. Not just some words for a international audience BEFORE legalisation. A law. That what categorises matters into ‘lawful’ and ‘unlawful’; ‘legal’ and ‘illegal’. Written laws. Find it and post it here. Otherwise you should really desist, as it’s obvious that everyone is just laughing at your ridiculous assertions. You are out of touch.
  5. Some people just cannot be helped…
  6. Why would you post a link with a gap in the first place? 🤦🏻‍♂️
  7. Really? Which model and what plan are you on?
  8. That for me is one of the joys of Christmas. To treat yourselves to things you wouldn’t have every day. To ‘splash out’ as it were. More time taken for food preparation, more of your favourite things. @proton and his ‘frozen veg’ meal is an insult to himself. At least roast some fresh ones. Make an effort. Try something different.
  9. Do you have a lot of peripherals attached? Detach as many as possible and then reboot to see if it’s faster.
  10. You’ll just naturally be calm, almost in a trance. But most people cannot keep it up. They get distracted.
  11. Does nothing. Send out for some cannabis. It alters your perception of pain. You know it’s there, but it doesn’t bother you. It’s also helps you to relax. If you don’t want to do that then just breathe. Force yourself to deep breath. Deep exaggerated breathing continuously for minutes. It will also calm you, but the pain will return when you stop.
  12. Frozen veg? Surely you can do better than that. Christmas is the time to remember to be kind to others…. and yourself. Tramadol doesn’t sound good either. But probably you are afraid of the alternatives.
  13. I don’t have custard, which is partially the reason why I haven’t eaten any Christmas puddings. Brandy butter isn’t appealing to me. Need to practice making custard before Christmas.
  14. Oh no… I was signed out and accidentally saw this…. another one of your stupid posts. Anyway, signed in again and you are gone. Better.
  15. Sounds good. But do you think there’ll be space for bread rolls after all that?
  16. But you have a nasty character. I don’t think that I’ve ever seen you post anything helpful nor kind. What gives? Why so ugly? That to me is the sign of a real loser. And yes, I’d say that to your face. I just say what I see. Be nice.
  17. The people in your community are your family. The people on this board are your family. It’s up to you. It’s all in the mind. If you didn’t see your ‘close’ family for 30 years, perhaps you weren’t that close. All you are doing now is continuing that isolation. For me, I have my real family, but the people around are also my ‘brothers and sisters’. Same same, but different. You are only alone if you choose to be alone. I often choose it because I like peace. It’s nice to have the choice.
  18. So what are you having? Not a fan of turkey, as it’s relatively tasteless. Instead would go for goose, though a bit fatty.
  19. I have a few Christmas puddings that I haven’t got around to eating. The good thing is that they are soaked in alcohol, so they get better with age. The bad thing is that I’m not that fond of alcohol, so don’t bother to eat them ☺️
  20. I see lots of women going fishing with their partners. Others may collect shells at the beach. Perhaps beach location makes all the difference.
  21. Oh diddums… having a little tantrum are we? What I alluded to in case you missed it, is that you don’t need to smoke it. So smoke and lungs are irrelevant. That doesn’t cover your childish “ I don’t need it and you do”comment. When will you grow out of such childish things?
  22. It IS an appropriate analogy. That you attempt to assert that it is not, is possibly due to a somewhat limited mindset. Perhaps as it’s not packaged up as a pill produced by a pharmaceutical company, your mind cannot accept it as a medicine. That’s your problem. Stay ignorant. It doesn’t harm me. Paracetamol can also be misused, but it’s still a medicine when utilised appropriately. Similarly with cannabis. You can argue all you want. But it will just make me think that you are stupid.
  23. Actually it doesn’t mean what you assert that it means. Smoking is just one way to utilise it. Interesting that you mention “summoning up your pleasures” whilst ignoring the many people who utilise cannabis for medical reasons. It’s obviously ingrained in your mind that people only utilise it for pleasure. That’s your bias isn’t it? You sound so proud. Not much different from saying you need paracetamol and I do not, to someone with a toothache. It just makes you look a bit of a ar**
  24. That’s fine. I can put you on ignore in order to prevent myself ever responding to you again. Hope that helps.
