  2. Looks like a kitchen to me… I see foodstuffs and washing up liquid…
  3. I think you are boring yourself. I didn’t see anyone bragging here. Perhaps other people care about things that you don’t. A pool for instance. Should we yawn at your insistence that it’s not a useful thing to have? Live and let live. People have other preferences. You aren’t the arbiter.
  4. Isn’t it interesting that chicken breast is one of the cheapest cuts in Thailand, but the most expensive in the U.K and beyond? Conversely chicken wings being the cheapest in the U.K and the most expensive in Thailand. Personally, I don’t use chicken breast for anything. If I prepare a chicken curry, it’s usually ‘on the bone’ drumsticks and/or thighs or with chicken thigh pieces. Especially as my curries are slow cooked for a while. If forced to use chicken breast, I would marinate it and add it towards the end of the cooking process…. and then just throw it away in disgust. ☺️Where are the vegetables? I like some potato, a la Vindaloo, for some variety. But it has to be properly cooked through, permeated by the sauce. Chicken has to be falling off the bone. I tried these a while back; https://uk.thespicetailor.com/collections/indian-curry-kits/products/southern-pepper-curry Not bad. Pataks do something similar.
  5. If you are in or near Pattaya, the large ‘boat’ 7-11 on Pattaya Tai stocks them.
  6. The exchange rate is what makes the difference with other currencies.
  7. When you stop reading them, they will cease to exist, for you.
  8. There’s a frozen version for the days you only feel like going as far as the freezer and microwave: https://www.chefcares.org/product/18-frozen-chicken-tikka-masala-with-turmeric-rice From Lotus it seems
  9. It’s not my photo…. As I wrote… I gave it away. Though there are some pictures that I posted earlier in the thread if you like to take a look to see if there is something that you can criticise.
  10. Not a problem, we are on the same side. Getting the best value that you can when appropriate.
  11. Actually I bought it because someone on this forum mentioned it, but I gave it away for someone else to review it, as my standard might be unrealistic. Though it certainly looks edible.
  12. Actually they still do it. Just not available in your particular 7-11. Here’s a picture to fill you with nostalgia. I didn’t actually eat it, but I’m told it was a; 7 out of 10.
  13. On the other hand, do not assume that I am anti-WISE. I was probably one of the first people to recommend TransferWise here… if not the first. I would certainly use them to transfer £s. I just wanted to illustrate that in certain circumstances, as in the case of sending US$, WISE can be beat.
  14. In case you missed it, the OP was specifically discussing sending US$…
  15. Take me a while? I did it twelve minutes before you posted. Keep up!
  16. I don’t need to do that, you are (in)famous for it ???? Of course we aren’t discussing your specific apartment, but also the location, the beach, the people. You said yourself that you would prefer to be in Mexico, but you couldn’t afford it. Overall, I don’t agree that you should spend as much as you can/get as much as you can afford. I think you should just find a place that suits. I could have spent a bit more(5k) and got double the space(120+ sq.m.)but overall the place I chose suited me better.
  17. Bangkok Bank TT rate currently 35.45. US wire transfer fee US$40. 500 baht Thai side. 1,061,582 baht. The thread is about sending US$.
  18. I KNOW you are wrong, as I run the figures many times, along with others here. It’s you who doesn’t know what you are talking about and now I have to spend my time putting together an illustration for you and the other naysayers on this thread…
  19. Incorrect. There’s only a correspondent bank if there is a correspondent bank. You write as if there is one in every case. That is disingenuous. In most cases, there is not. Send in £s and let the Thai bank do the conversation.
  20. Actually it’s HSBC that is now £5. NatWest is £15.
  21. Let’s have less of the personal comments please… Topic is about the sauces.
  22. You’ll need a better smartphone if you want to participate in any food porn threads. Not enough detail ????
  23. Personally, for a living space, I look at three things; space, natural light and airflow. Without those things immediately apparent, I won’t look further. Anything less will have an effect on your quality of life. I don’t care about facilities beyond a properly maintained swimming pool.
  24. It’s interesting that they state the curries are cooked by an Indian chef. Not too many Indians will use beef as an ingredient. Of course lamb, mutton and goat are a bit more rare and probably relatively expensive.
