  1. What would you think would happen in a cesspit.....pardon....a world class tourist destination.. burp
  2. Spare us the wikipedia cr@p https://www.statista.com/statistics/687809/japan-foreign-residents-total-number/
  3. In Thailand you pay taxes even if you have losses. Fact. This is why this country is garbage.
  4. Maybe there is something in this thread which I refused to believe. It seems like Japan dumped a hell of a lot US bonds last week which caused the Japanese historic crash. What will happen when China starts doing the same? China is already in very bad economic crisis, dumping some US cr@p will cause a short term pain and long term gain. Or maybe I have this wrong?
  5. Funny that you asked! So in 2012/2013 I narrowed down my Asian adventure to 2 women. One was a lovely Japanese woman living in outskirts of Tokyo. She invited me and offered marriage. She was lonely, but had 2 half Japanese kids from the previous relationship (an abusive Brit - what's new). So we chatted for almost a year and developed a deep bond. However, I promised myself that I would never get involved with a woman who has kids. And her name was kinda odd - Natsu.... nuts....get it? So who is to say she wasn't the one who's actually crazy. The second woman was a Thai girl, no kids, good job at Siemens BTS project. The deal breaker was when she sent me a bikini pic of her derriere. Five minutes later I was booking my ticket. The day after I landed we met at the hotel. No sex. Next day she invited me to her house. Sex. Then she captured me in her house for 2 years until I agreed to marry her. Since I wasn't paying rent I felt guilty and said yes. The rest is history.
  6. Funny comment. Japan at the moment has over 3 million expats. But I guess the Thai doctrine has really made some posters unaware about the rest of the world. Another funny thing is how most here criticize Thai education system, but actually behave themselves even worse than brainwashed populace.
  7. oh look....the scam market is at it again...
  8. Yeah, right. You are like Jim Cramer of predictions. Everything you said about Thailand during covid was wrong. But if you really think Dow is going down to 20k then your stay in Thailand will become very, very uncomfortable.
  9. NOPE. Those houses that you mention are free houses that Japan government is giving out for free.
  10. I transferred 500,000 baht a week ago and got 18,500 CAD Today I would get 19,500CAD I killed the Canadian dollar.
  11. The final crash will be Thai baht....don't worry. As for crypto, it is NOT a store of value.
  12. it doesn't affect me
  13. You fan of Godfrey Reggio?
  14. I see foreigners in Japan buying houses for $6,000. Yes it's in the boonies with declining population, but houses are relatively nice and Japan is a livable place with good infrastructure. No trickery as the foreigner can own a land and house in full. How does that compare to soi dog Farang building a 5 million baht house in the rice fields of Isaan for his bargirl that he will never own (a house and a bargirl). Discuss
  15. Another proof that every old man that comes to Thailand is a virgin.
  16. So until 10,000 is received she will continue selling at a loss?
  17. there are no 90% discounts, just the usual junk worth between a nickel and a dollar
  18. old age security. he is correct 20 years. 10 years is for guaranteed income supplement, but you don't get that if you don't live in Canada.
  19. I am Canadian who is married to a Thai citizen and last year she received her Canadian permanent residency. We went to Canada and returned back to Thailand because she has a relatively high paying job in Thailand. Your post is full of ridiculous inaccuracies and before you start blasting immigrants about their easy access to Canada maybe you should realize that if it wasn't for them (especially those pesky HK Chinese who bought overpriced real estate) Canada would be in worse place than mexico with no healthcare and no social security. Canada is in business of importing immigrants...that's what it does to survive. Our application took 2 years to be approved. We paid around $3000 to hire an immigration lawyer to do it for us. You can do the application yourself, but there is a lot of things that can be confusing and every wrong entry/missing signature will delay the application further. You do not need any financial requirements to sponsor your wife. However you will need a lot of proof and the application itself is a lot of work. They do ask for a lot of evidence. My had valid US visa and Australian visa before we applied and yes it would be difficult for her to get a tourist visa if she is married simply because immigration officer would suspect she would not leave.
  20. Are you not the guy with genital herpes?
  21. I am shocked at how many of you use prostitutes. What a bunch of losers.
  22. I would vote Trump, but do people seriously think Algeria recognizes trans men. Dumb thread, so maybe I'd vote Kamala
