  1. The problem is the alternative was much worse, so stop crying.
  2. Oh no, so you are saying it's exactly like UK without NHS
  3. I died yet I post
  4. Again you cherry picked 1 project that probably had 1 unit at super low starting price just to attract potential buyers. I proved to you that even lumpini that YOU gave as example had dropped in value, but you chose to close your eyes. Of yes let's talk about lumpini. Their flagship project on Sukhumvit 24 had a starting price of 5.8 million. https://thinkofliving.com/คอนโด/พาชมตึกเสร็จ-the-lumpini-24-คอนโดระดับ-super-luxury-class-จาก-lpn-รีวิวฉบับย่อ-1054-316938-รีวิวโครงการ/ today we have units sold for 4.5 million. https://www.livinginsider.com/livingdetail_en/2449346/S-TLP118-sale-condo-The-Lumpini-24-Floor-12A-fully-furnished-26-sqm-4-5-million-064-959-8900.html A massive 22% loss for a street that is considered affluent. Again taking the averages from hipflat doesn't help your cause. The facts speak for themselves. But if you bought 10-20 years ago and sold before covid then you probably did make a profit.
  5. Ideo mix Sukhumvit 103 presale price starting at 80,000b psqm, today's price on living insider 2,040,000 a 15% price drop. Haus 23 Ladprao https://www.livinginsider.com/livingdetail_en/2396707/Condo-House-23-Ratchada-Lat-Phrao-on-the-main-road-no-need-to-enter-or-exit-the-alley-near-MRT-La.html Cheapest offering in 2012 3.4 million baht, currently for sale 2.6 million - 25% drop Your own example lumpini park beach jomtien....btw that building and units inside are total ghetto mess price presale 1.68mil https://thinkofliving.com/คอนโด-ตากอากาศ/project/lumpini-park-beach-จอมเทียน-138802/ price now 1.4 million over 15% price drop https://www.livinginsider.com/livingdetail_en/1466030/For-sale-condo-1-bedroom-at-Lumpini-Park-Beach-Jomtien.html Circle condo precon 3.49 mil https://thinkofliving.com/คอนโด/circle-condominium-คอนโด-high-rise-ตึกคู่ริมถนนเพชรบุรี-จาก-fragrant-รีวิวฉบับที่-687-187245-รีวิวโครงการ/ today 2.79 million price drop 20% https://www.livinginsider.com/livingdetail_en/325133/1/Urgent-Sell-Circle-Condo-Big-Studio-33-51-sqm-.html 1000s of other examples. I am lazy to Google on my phone ALL prices in Thailand negotiable due to crappy sales hence even more discount. Important to note. All the "starting from" precon prices listed were for 1 or 2 crappiest units that had no view and on low floors. The cheapest units offered today were sold for more.
  6. You cherry picked all of these units without providing any links. Your post is a total fabrication. The average price on hipflat is irrelevant as it is the sum of all overpriced units that no one is buying. The starting price from 10 years ago was for the very cheapest units. You should then compare them to cheapest units that are currently being sold in the same building. Most of them have a price drop of 25%
  7. Oh noes, my condo. Wait.... I didn't buy one
  8. I had a girlfriend who owned a condo in C Ekkamai. Yes, this condo https://thethaiger.com/news/bangkok/tourist-police-raid-the-c-ekkamai-condo-to-arrest-people-running-rooms-as-hotel-bangkok At the next strata meeting, the Thai and Chinese owners stated that if they were not allowed to rent out their units, they would cease paying common fees. The following days and months, security staff assisted groups of Chinese tourists, many wheeling suitcases, as they registered their fingerprints and activated their key cards.
  9. A good way to check if someone is lying is to go to a website like thinkofliving.com as they have the record of all the presale prices from 10 years ago or more. You will find out that condo prices have dropped 25% on average in 10 years. There are very few buildings that are the exception, but the trend is down.
  10. It has always been like this and it's nothing new and nothing different from 30 years ago. UK is much worse, yet GoFundMe beggars beg to be returned to that awful NHS for treatment as soon as they have a medical problem in Thailand. Emergency care in Canada is top notch tho. They will not wait for deposit of negotiate with insurance company before you get a treatment. Your post is ironic and will surely attract the usual Thai bootlickers I mentioned.
  11. I returned to Canada 10 days ago. I don't like Canada very much, but I also don't like pollution. In Toronto AQI is constantly in the low to mid 20's. Clear skies. My wife is impressed. I also like my free healthcare. I do have a choice and choose what is best for me at this point in time. I really have a laff at delusional old farts who lick Thai boots, quick to file their income tax then line up for their 90 day report like good prisoners that they are while pretending everything is great in just because they pass by Nana and think they are Rod Stewart.
  12. I anticipate some significant staffing reductions on the horizon. Specifically, the number of employees in the Home Pro mattress section will be reduced from 17 to 15.
  13. The ones who live in Thailand and can't afford healthcare, yes. Others who can milk the free healthcare like myself....not a chance
  14. Devaluation of baht and increase in everything else. Inflation coming.
  15. You are crying about being censored and you call others snowflake?
  16. some sad stories here....let me get a tissue....but not for what you think
  17. Brother from another mother
  18. I am into Japanese art house cinema such as SDDE-617
  19. Translation - I ran out of money
  20. just paving the path for a world-class family resort that will rival Pattaya.
  21. SCB pays over 8% and I still wouldn't do it. That 800k condo will be rented out to cambodian slave labor or Thais. Good luck collecting.
