  1. Unbelievable, do they not read the latest medical reports and papers?
  2. Unbelievably stupid! Going on holiday thinking your going to have fun then a hundred armed police decend....... Yep, Unbelievable!!!
  3. Thought crossed my mind and would have saved Mr thousands. However, that would mean the wife could never return to see her family.
  4. Yes the pointlessness of the whole exercise is laughable. How many possitives? Zero I bet.
  5. This just screams...... Asylum. Not even in the country.... Persecution. Unbelievable!!@@
  6. Wow! An independent test, I think not. Going through the motions means nothing. Been there and done it in the army with an alcohol test. The person testing told me don't worry its not on.......
  7. Actually they do have a major say by not going to Thailand. I would never go back if I didn't have family there. There are far more safe and interesting countries out there. From 2006 it's gone down hill...
  8. Having been holidaying and living in Thailand since 2002 (living there for the past 2 military takeovers). I have witnessed the steady decline and changes in attitude. If I didn't have family ties I would never set foot in Thailand even though I have a house there. 2/3/4 times pricing for foreigners all sanctioned by government, pavements unusable especially if your disabled, floods, Rabies and unimaginable numbers of soi dogs or latch key dogs roaming streets and beaches in tourist areas. Tourists being attacked by packs of men at every opertunity. Not even mentioning the deadly roads. Thailand needs a total change in attitude from the top down. It is a beautiful country with many wonderful people but it feels as though it has purposely been turned into a cesspool by those at the top table/trough!!
  9. Obviously! It's about Thailand and now other aisian counties. It has gone through many changes and not always for the good of the site and the genuine expat community/people with connection to Thailand. It was supposed to be fun and informative.
  10. This is a thai forum!!! Phew....
  11. Maybe I used the term uk wrong I should of been more specific "Scotland" and then my statement is fact and I know that from personal experience. We had a shortage of pharmacists a few months ago in my area and the boots chemist was closed. The shop manager told me (I know him) that "they could not open even to sell a bottle of shampoo because not allowed to open without a pharmacist on the premises". Yes his worbs exactly.
  12. This copies the law in the uk. However in the uk No pharmacists = can't even sell shampoo etc in the shop so shop is closed.
  13. Having lived in Thailand for a total of 15 years I found it wore me down. Everything felt like "You pay more" and very much felt unwelcome by officials. Double then triple pricing and all sanctioned by the government. Some people have principles and yes I left in 2019 (400k/800k charge to stay in Thailand). I can imagine the outcry if my government did this, screams of racism!!!!
  14. Thailand is not Singapore and not even close.
  15. I think reading facts rather than hype. Depending on state termination is between 17 and 24 weeks depending on state and under certain medical circumstances much later. You can also travel to a different state. I could say a lot more as was stated by certain senator's that it was OK to about a new born baby!!!
  16. I think one should try looking up figures on the .gov web site and check how many died from covid in the uk before quoting headlines. You will be shocked at the figures.
